Our story is about a town, a small town and the people that live there. From far away this looks like any other small town but when you get closer you seem to see the shadows beneath. The name of this town is Carthage.
We start our story with Ethan Clark and what he did this summer. On the 7th of August he went for a walk to The Rivers edge, the next thing we know for sure is the sound of two gun shots with a cry for help. The next thing we know is Ella Clark his sister is found alone on shore with her brother no where to be seen. Carthage police search the rivers edge for Ethan's body but no body was found. No one knows what happened on that morning but before you know it everyone would know what the Clark's were hiding.
By the end of summer break everyone would know what happened to Ethan. On the first day back to school that's all everyone was talking about, no other talk or rumours just the death of Ethan while Ella was still home grieving. No one would know how he truly died or what really happened until a year later.
Lets go back to the week before all of this happened Ethan was hiding things from his family, his friends and everyone around him. They all thought it was because he was a teenager and that's what they do, keep secrets. Little did everyone know that Ethan was in great danger. Ella could tell something was up with him but decided to do nothing about it. Anyway Ethan was in great danger and no one knew apart from his boyfriend Leo Bea also known as me. I should have told someone what was happening from the start but this story is about Ethan not me.
Before Ethan died he wrote letters addressed to everyone who ever hurt him but they had no names on them so they were letters to no one, because he never got to finish writing them.
