Maggie; Heart’s troubles

          I pulled all of Kraze’s hair at the front of his face back with a brush as I held a ponytail in my mouth, the hairstyle always looked so cute on him. And then when he got into his uniform with the button up white shirt and black formal pants along with a green apron and black shoes it just looked fabulous.  When I had all the hair from the front of his face in my hand I set down the brush and took the ponytail out of my mouth before tying all the hair that had been in the front of his face at the back and letting it go.

            “There!” I said. Kraze who was sitting on the ground in between my legs as I sat on his couch doing his hair turned around to look at me; for once you could see both of his eyes because he didn’t have his ridiculous red bangs covering the left eye.

            “Now will you tell me what’s the matter?” Kraze asked as he pulled the longer strands of his black hair to sit on his shoulders the way he liked his hair to.  I sighed and leaned into the back of his couch.

            “Just because I come over and did your hair, what makes you think there’s anything wrong?” I muttered pulling at a loose strand of my light purple hair.  Couldn’t I just hang over at my best friend’s house and not be bugged about it?

            “Well because you only come over to my house and do my hair whenever something’s wrong. Now tell me please?” Kraze asked me as he got up and sat down beside me, leaning into the back of the couch too. I sighed knowing I wouldn’t be able to escape him.

            “It’s John. He confessed to me and I’m not ready for a steady relationship.” I muttered. Little did Kraze know that the reason was actually far greater than that, John was still in love with another person? How could I love someone who loved another? I was selfish and wanted him all to me, even if the one he loved was my old best friend.

            “Oh. The dude with the long brown skater boy hair that’s every girl’s dream that brought his cousins to my party last time? That John? I must say, he has some guts telling you he likes you. Because now he has to deal with you ignoring him, I feel bad for the sucker.” Kraze commented as he stuck out his tongue and looked at it.

            “Jeez I’m not ignoring him, just collecting my thoughts. But I guess I should get going now, my mom will flip if I’m not home in time for movie night with the family, not that I mind watching movies with them.” I said as I got up, Kraze lifted himself out of the couch too.

            “Okay but don’t ignore the poor guy for too long okay?” Kraze asked me. I laughed and pulled him into a hug.

            “Oh alright.” I said and then released him from my hug to look at him. Kraze had a piercing that was that of a silver clothes pin on his eyebrow and snake lip piercings as well as spiked earrings on the tops of his ears and a tongue piercing. It wasn’t hard to see that the clothes this guy wore were all neon or with some weird design, because he himself was crazy, hence the nickname Kraze. Although his real name was Lawrence Kormers not Kraze Kormers, he just simply went by his nickname because it was better than Lawrence, or so he claimed.  Either than the neon shirts with weird deigns he wore black skinny jeans along with black boots or black pointy snake skin shoes. And he always, always wore his red contacts. Only I had seen their real colour, brown.

            “Call me later?” Kraze asked me as he walked with me to his front door.

            “Sure and I’ll see you at that party. Bye now.” I got up onto my tip toes and kissed his cheek before closing the door behind me and hopping into my car. I would really have to talk to John; if I ignored him it’d only make the situation worse. Besides it wasn’t like I could avoid him for the rest of my life. So my resolve was that I would talk to him and explain everything to him when I was ready to. Yeah, that sounded good.
