Chapter 21

"I guess we're done for today... I had a great night Stephen... See you at school tomorrow?" He smiled at me.

"Of course we will... Let's walk together at school then?" He nodded. We exchanged good byes to each other and didn't stop until Tony finally gave me a final wave from the window.

I sighed happily... Even though it was only a dinner date and we did nothing more than just talk about each other and exchange loving gazes but it means more to me.

Now I can't help but feel so excited for tomorrow! I'm totally gonna hold his hand all day!.

I smiled widely with the thought and went home. But when I got there.... I could see Carol, Christine, Thor, Loki and T'Challa. The whole gang is here?

I parked my car and went out.

I approached them and I became confused.

"What are you guys doing here? If you want to go inside, you can just go in you know? I mean since when did you guys wait for me before you come inside?"

"You didn't see my messages did you?" Christine asked me while glancing at me with worry in her eyes.

I quickly took out my phone and look into my messages. I gasped and rushed inside my house. I ran to the living room only to see my whole family there but with a girl.

I could see the frown in my brother's eyes. I could tell he doesn't like her. Neither did my parents shows me that they are comfortable with her in the living room at all.

"Stephen dear! Welcome back... I don't know if you remember her but she was your childhood friend from our old neighbourhood!"

"Hela? Is that really you?" I asked the girl. She smiled at me.

"You still remember me Stephen! I'm so glad you did!" She stood up and ran to me and instantly hugged me.

I didn't hug her back because she hugged me so suddenly I don't know what to do.

"What are you doing here? At a time like this?"

"Didn't Christie tell you? I told her that I will be transferring to Marvel High so I wanted to go and see you first" Hela pouted at me and I couldn't help but give her an awkward smile.

"Oh hehe... Sorry I was going out with someone a while ago so I didn't bother looking through my phone that time"

I could see a slight frown on her face but it suddenly changed into a happy one. I wonder if she's bipolar..

Christine and the other went inside and Hela instantly released me from my hug and hugged Christine.

"Christine!! I missed you!! How are you?" Christine was not comfortable with her, neither did my other friends.

"Ohhh and who are these people? Are they your friends? It's really nice to meet you all. My name is Hela! I'm Christine's and Stephen's childhood friend. I'm also Stephen's future fiance!"

"WAIT WHAT?!" I was in shock. Since when did she became my future fiance.

"MOM! DAD! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" I asked my parents, desperate for an answer.

"Stephen... Let's talk in your room. In the meantime, Shawn, serve them some beverages and cookies while the both of us talk to Stephen." Mom quickly grabbed my hand and dragged me to my room while dad was following us behind.

No One's POV

Shawn sighed and stood up.

"Take a seat on one of the sofas. I'll be back with some snacks." Without looking back, he left the living room.

Christine couldn't help but feel so annoyed with the fact that Hela suddenly appeared after humiliation she gave to both her and Stephen back when they were still kids.

And she was beyond annoyed with the fact that she confidently said that she is Stephen's future fiance.

"Okay cut the crap Hela, why the hell are you doing here? I thought our friendship ended where it is supposed to be left. Why are you here?!" Hela suddenly have tears flowing out of her eyes.

"How could you say like that Christine? I know we ended our friendship badly but I still want us to be friends again."

"Stop crying you little bitch. You think I don't know what you have put me and Stephen through?! You tried to push me to the pool knowing that I couldn't swim! And you purposely tried to hurt Stephen's parents by poisoning their food after you knew that we were moving to New York! If I hadn't known, Mr and Mrs Strange could have died and Stephen would be in pain! You have no rights to call yourself our friend nor Stephen's future fiance!!"

The others were shocked with what they heard. How horrid could this girl can be?

"Tsk... You just have to remember that part... You and I both know no one is gonna believe you right? What proof that you and Stephen have that I did all of that? Besides, I'm not here just to make a fool of myself saying that I'll be his future fiance. Both of Stephen's parents and my parents made a contract with each other."

Christine was fuming with anger because she never knew anything about a contract. She would know because she has been living with the Strange's family so she was considered family. And they always share everything with each other bad new or good news.

The only reason why she moved with the Strange's family is because her family also lived in New York.

"Stop lying! I should have heard of that contract if they did signed some shitty contract!"

Hela laughed hysterically at Christine.

"My my my... So it seems they didn't even care to tell you and Stephen about it didn't they? I honestly feel so sorry for you."

"What are you trying to imply you sick bitch?"

"Mr and Mrs Strange is not being totally honest with you and Stephen.... Your right... You should have known something about a contract but in the contract there are rules they have to follow and one of it is "never to tell anyone about this arrangement"

Christine wasn't having it and almost tried to punch Hela on the face and before anyone could react to it, someone suddenly smashed a tray on the table.

"Have. A. Peaceful. Drink. Please." Shawn interrupted with his usual face only the others could tell that he was beyond annoyed with the commotion that happened.

"Let me give all of you a warning, friend or not, foe or not, my so called future sister in law or not, I don't give any sh*t about what your talking about but if you try to make me more annoyed than I already have, I won't hesitate to throw you guys one of these glasses and I don't care if your injured by it or not." Shawn threatened them and they instantly went quiet.

They were quiet but each one of them is thinking of the same thing.

What contract are they talking about and why is this some future fiance suddenly appeared?

Christine gave Shawn a glance. Shawn could only look at her with worry in his eyes but his face doesn't show it.

I hope you guys understand why I put Hela here. I put her because I think she would fit for a role as the most bitchy girl here. And I have a very twisted plot with her so yeah😅😂
