Summary
The goddess of the stars and sky in old greek mythology was Astria.
Astria Chan supposed she wasn't too different herself. It was easy to dream of Earth, to return to the ground, but maybe sometimes her head was lost in space, sometimes literally. Sue her if she spent a little longer spacewalking and staring at the window than she did studying for Earth Skills. It isn't like Astria believed she'd be alive the day she'd be able to walk Earth like her late ancestors. The planet wouldn't be ready for the ark citizens to return home for another hundred years of floating inside the space station. She didn't find herself complaining too much, though. She felt as if she wasn't put out for it.
When Abby Griffin asks for Astria to help the best zero-g mechanic in the Ark, her former classmate, Raven Reyes, build an old pod by putting their heads together, Astria doesn't see a chance. Not until Abby misses her and now is begging her to take her place and go to Earth to look out for her daughter, Clarke Griffin. She reluctantly agrees, desperate for her own reunion, no matter where it is.
Astria flies through her kingdom of stars glittered across her sky and crash lands messily on Earth, glad she miraculously woke up - even if it's because a male doing wrong jacked the radio from her pod and trashed it. Maybe Astria can find herself starstruck on the planet, if not for him seeking redemption.
