Marcy sat Abi down and made her tell her everything. Marcy was furious at her father for saying something so rude to his own daughter. She was still a little mad at Abi for not immediately accepting her mate, but at least she didn't reject him. Marcy wanted to go give their father a piece of her mind, but Abi just begged her to let it go. Abi acted strong and tough, like nothing bothered her, but in reality, she still has a heart, and the things her family says effects her greatly.
They were getting ready to call it a night when there was a gentle knock on the door. Abi sniffed the air and immediately her face turned to anger. It was their father. She swung open the door and glared hard at him "What do you want, Harold?" Yikes, full first name. He rubbed his neck, his white hair falling to his shoulders. "To apologise..." He was sheepish, ashamed for the way he acted. That was not the way an alpha reacts, and it shouldn't have been the way a father reacts.
Abi crossed her arms, staring him down. She was flat footed now, in pajamas, but even at her shorter height, her glare spoke for itself. Even though she had taken off her makeup, her eyes and nose were still notably red from her crying. That made her father feel even worse about his words. "Abilene... I'm so sorry.. I didn't mean what I said.." his voice held his sorrow, but Abi was strong as steel still. "You did mean it, that's what you think of me. You don't have to be proud of my actions, but you don't have to think so low of me either. After all, you were that way before mom."
Her words stung him, she was right. Who was he to judge? Before their mother, Beth, the alpha slept with anyone who walked on two legs. Human, werewolf, vampire. Male, female. It didn't matter, he would bone it. He sobered up when he found Beth though. "What can I do to show you I mean it when I say I'm sorry?" She stopped to think for a moment, before settling on her bargain "If you mean it, you'll make a pact with the Rathbone pack. Matthew may come over our border when he wishes, and I to them as I wish. And you aren't to speak of my affairs again. I don't care the context of the conversation." She closed the door after that, done hearing his words.
She knew he was sorry, their father didn't apologise often. That doesn't mean she forgives him just yet. She needed a way to tempt Matt into coming to her first, but to do that, their patrols can't rip into him when he comes onto their land. And if she can go to his land, she can rub it in his face as she sleeps with members of his pack. Though that thought made her feel ill again. How is she going to go through with it?
Marcy was silent the entire time, looking and listening before the door was closed. "Feel any better?" She spoke, looking at her twin. "Not at all.." Abi mumbled, crawling into bed. Marcy went and crawled in next to her, cuddling her upset sister. Upset over their father, her mate, finding said mate, everything. She wanted to go home and forget this trip. The two fell asleep soon after, holding onto each other the whole night, just as they did when they were still little girls.
That night, Abi dreamt for the first time in a long time. It seemed almost real. It was a memory, from when she was a child. One she had forgotten. She had been to this meeting once before, when she was just 5 years old. She met Matthew, they felt the bond and spent the weekend playing. The 7 year old boy was happy, and declared they were mates and would get married when they were older. Abilene had giggled, showing off her ring pop ring that was much to big for her fingers. And then the dream was over.
When Abi woke, Marcy was gone. She left a note, saying she went down to breakfast. Abi slowly got up, showering before she dressed and made her way downstairs. Her outfit was simple, a cropped black hoodie, and high waisted leggings. Finishing her look was a pair of high top sneakers. She tossed her wet hair in a ponytail and made her way down to the dining hall where her family was. And to her surprise, her mate was there as well.
She walked to the buffet line, making her plate. When suddenly that deep voice whispered in her ear "Good morning, Abilene." She bit her lip, peering next to her to her green eyed mate "Good morning, Matthew." He chuckled and followed her as she took a seat at a table, separate from her family since she had a 6'2 attachment. She sat down, beginning to eat. He sat across from her with a cocky smirk "You look cute today, Abi."
Abi looked at him with a bored look "Thanks, but I'm cute every day." At that, Matthew laughed, smiling at her as he started eating "So I heard you got permission for me to enter your lands whenever I want. Are you secretly wanting me to visit you?" Abi snorted and shook her head "You can't come beg for my acceptance if you're attacked by my patrol." She giggled softly. It was the most beautiful sound Matt had ever heard. Why was she so stubborn? Why couldn't she just give in and let him love her? That's fine, he'd win this bet, he was determined.
Abi was quick to finish her food, getting up to dispose of her trash before sitting once again "Why do you want a mate?" She inquired after a few moments of silence. He smiled gently and took one of her hands, playing with her fingers "Because, why wouldn't I want someone made for me? I for them? Someone to love unconditionally and vice versa." Abi looked disinterested "Because," She scoffed "Who wants to be with the same person forever? I like variety. I don't want to be held down in one place. That doesn't sound like a nice time to me." She frowned, pulling her hand away. At her words, Matt's smile fell. Abi looked away "That life isn't for me. I'm not going to reject you, I don't want that pain. However, I'm not going to give in to this bond, not until I decide I'm ready to. Got that?" She turned to look at him again, her face hard "This bet was your idea, but just so you know, call me a whore again and I will fight you. My wolf and I don't take kindly to insults."
Matt chuckled softly "I called myself a whore too, if you don't remember." "I remember, but I don't care. Don't call me it again." She got up, pushing her chair in "You have a decision to make. Are you coming with us to my pack? Or going back to yours to resist me?" She smirked and walked away, going back to her room. She needed some self care. So she would have a day to pamper herself. She looked at all the hotel had to offer and decided to go for a massage. Lord knows she could use one.
Her masseuse was a man, a very attractive one. She smiled flirtatiously at him, and the whole time she flirted with him. After her massage, she was covered in oil, making her skin shine. She locked the door, making sure he had no other clients just yet. This was her test run, can she still sleep with other people? Or is she going to get sick each time? She kissed the man's neck, her hips being squeezed. Everything was fine for a moment, before the nausea set in. She tried to resist it, and somehow her thoughts turned to Matt. She wondered what it would be like to make out with him.
The nausea subsided as she thought of her mate. The whole time the masseuse pleased her, with his fingers, his mouth, before finally giving her what she wanted. She had to keep her eyes closed the whole time, and much to her chagrin, she had to think it was Matt the entire time, or she felt sick. So the whole time she was getting fucked by mystery man here, in her mind she pretended it was her mate. That being said, it was a great orgasm with her thoughts on her mate. However, as soon as it was over, she ran to the trash can and threw up. "Fuck me." She grumbled, wiping her mouth. She blew a kiss to the masseuse and left the room, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
Next she went to the spa, intending to get her nails and feet done. She was pampered the whole day, and when she finally returned to her room, Marcy looked at her worriedly "Where were you? We tried to get ahold of you all day but you had your link off." Abi shrugged, looking at room service for dinner "I was at the spa all day, I decided I needed a me day. Fun fact, I have to pretend it's Matt to have sex without puking, only I'm going to throw up after it's done."
Marcy scrunched up her nose and shook her head, "Who did you find to sleep with? I know for a fact none of the werewolves here would sleep with a she-wolf that found her mate. Word spreads fast, they all know." Abi shrugged, not caring what total strangers thought of her "I slept with my masseuse. He was hot and Marcy, the things that man could do with his fingers-" Abi shivered, remembering the feeling of being fingered by him. It was a great hook up. "I'm sure if you wanted a go he'd be fine with it. After all, we've got the same face. He probably wouldn't even know it's you. Then again, he tasted me, and he'd probably taste-" "Oh my goddess, Abilene shut up!"
Marcy covered her ears, shaking her head "You know I'm saving myself for my mate. And when I find him, I'm going to accept him, unlike you." Was her sassy comment in return before she elaborated. "However, that's not to say the moment I find him that I'll spread my legs for him." Abi laughed an sat on her bed "I don't want my mate and my wolf is ready to spread her legs, the moment you find him you'll be open like a window on a summer night." Marcy scrunched up her nose "Oh shut up and order us dinner."
