Bar Mitzvah

It was earlier in the evening before Cyrus's Bar Mitzvah party was happening. Cyrus had to get dressed and get everything ready for his party. He saw TJ as he walked out of school and walked up to him. "Underdog!" TJ said as he gave Cyrus a bro hug. "TJ!" Cyrus replied. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to my Bar Mitzvah party!" Cyrus was so excited and even moved his head a little as he was inviting him. "Yeah definitely i'll see you there." TJ smiled and they walked together for a bit and had a good conversation.

Later In The Day - 

Cyrus's POV - 

I am finally going to be coming of age. I'm turning 13 today. I know I'm a Jew and I hope my parents and family would accept the fact that I know I'm gay. I think today I'm ready to even confess to TJ and the rest of my family that I am gay. I also have feelings for TJ Kippen. I just don't think he's like me or even feels the same way. I gather myself out of my thoughts and start working on making the party look good and setting up and helping my folks with my Bar Mitzvah. I was still so nervous for what I was about to do later, but If TJ's really a good friend and a true one at that then he would accept me even if my family have a tough time accepting me. 

We were finally done setting up and my friends and family started showing up for my Bar Mitzvah. I allowed them in and hung out with my usual friends Andi and Buffy because TJ hasn't showed up yet. "Hey Buffy and Andi!" I say as I dance really awkwardly. Andi and Buffy help my dancing approve a bit. "Thanks!" "Yeah no problem." They replied and smiled and contined dancing with me we laughed and I was the center of attention. I saw TJ and stopped dancing quickly after that. "TJ you came!" "Of course I came." He smiled over at me and I smiled back. I walked over to the table and tried to open a bottle of fancy apple cider. "UGH I can't open this at all! stupid bottle! open the heck up!" TJ put his hand out. "Did you need some help? Here." He smiled at me. I handed him the bottle of apple cider kinda embarrassed that I couldn't even open it. I watch TJ almost open it and hand me back the bottle. I popped back the cork and watch as TJ walked away as all attention goes on me everyone cheers and I start pouring out some apple cider to everyone. I did my speech of the responsibility of me turning 13 and me changing and becoming more then just a boy. I looked out in the crowd for TJ. I know he had left in the background somewhere so that all the attention was put on me because it was my Bar Mitzvah, yet I still kinda missed him already. In my speech I dropped the bombshell that I was gay and my family was shocked but gathered around and started giving me hugs even my folks gave me some hugs to this was actually easier then I had originally thought now it was TJ's turn, TJ's turn to found out. 

TJ was out back away from everybody else I breathed in I also still haven't properly thanked him for the apple cider thing. TJ's always so good to me, he's always such a good and caring person and cared about me for some reason. I cared about him in a different way he probably cared about me. I still wanted him in my life I didn't wanna ruin our friendship forever I hoped everything went well and he wasn't like you know homophobic. "Hey Teej. there you are! I really need to talk to you." 

"Okay yeah you know you can always talk to me what is it?"

"Teej... I-I'm gay I told everybody inside and my folks I'm just glad they accepted me considering that I'm you know Jewish. would you still be friend?"

"Of course Underdog I will always be your friend nothings going to change that because your gay." 

"Really?" I replied.

"Really! actually since you said that I feel more comfortable to tell you myself to that I'm also gay. Everyone just assumed that I'm that straight basketball jock but I'm not... Cyrus you make me more comfortable to express myself and be myself and I thank you for that." He smiled hugely. 

Third Person POV - 

TJ was thinking if he should tell Cyrus or not because of how comfortable he was with him TJ had a crush on Cyrus for the little time they spent together that's the way he cared about him as more then a friend. He thought this was finally his chance to express how he feels so he went in for it and looked into Cyrus's eyes. I mean Cyrus was gay also even if he did not feel the same he wouldn't lose they would still be friends, yet if he really didn't feel the same he would be heartbroken and it would be a bit to mend there friendship even so TJ took the shot. 

"Actually Underdog I got something to tell you well I like you more then just a friend. your the best thing that has ever happened to me in this short amount of time."

Cyrus smiled and became shocked. "I like you too. your also the best thing to happen to me to. Wow so what does this make us?"

"Cyrus Goodman would be do me the honors of being my boyfriend?"

"Yes! Yes I will!" He smiled.

TJ leaned in slowly and pecked the boy on the lips in the background of the scene of the Bar Mitzvah fireworks went off as both boys pulled away they both watched the fireworks as Cyrus says, "Best Bar Mitzvah party somebody could ever have I'm glad I turned 13 and into a "man" he giggled and smiled.
