The Songs We Own
On the other side
of the mirror
There I stand
aware of nothing
and yet I see
Hand to glass
Light to shadow
Candle flickers
Spirit shallow
Silent movement
Music breaks
and all the mystery
comes alive
as I dodge
these shifting eyes
Focus to hear
the deepest tones
hidden among
the songs we own
Crystalline caverns
points of light
Sojourner stories
take us farther
tonight
