"DID YOU LIKE IT?" JOSHUA whispered into the Korean girl's ear, his lips brushing her hair. He felt Oli nod vigourously where her chin was rested upon his shoulder. "I liked it almost as much as I like you." she hushed in his ear, and Joshua felt his cheeks burn red as he heard River cry out. "He's blushing! Joshua's blushing!" After what seemed like an eternity, Joshua finally set Olimpia down, and the pair locked eyes. Then, without hesitating, Oli stepped forwards on the tips of her toes and pressed her lips to his. Josh's eyes widened, surprised, before he clamped them closed and kissed back with just as much passion.
CHEERS AND LAUGHTER RUNG out amongst the guests at the party, and when Joshua and Olympia finally separated, the celebrations for Oli's birthday went on. Cups and food were in abundance amongst the many teenagers present, but Oli found herself with Josh by her side through it all. Not that she was complaining.

AFTER EVERYONE HAD LEFT, Olympia and River sat atop River's bed with large smiles on their faces. "How was that for a killer eighteenth birthday?" River winked and Oli laughed. "It was perfect." The Korean girl sighed happily. "Thankyou so much, Riv. For everything." "You deserve it." River responded with a smile before wrapping her arms around her best friend. "Take on the world?" She asked as the pair always did. "Any time, any place." Oli agreed with a large smile. "But first, let's sleep." "Goodnight, Ver." Oli bummed as her head hit the pillow. "Goodnight, O." River sighed, content. "And Happy Birthday."
