"Why? Are you crazy?" She asked brows raised high. "We might need to bail, let's keep it an quick and easy option." Han said.
"Tuck and roll? At these speeds?" Bree questioned. "Look if we crash we'll be human jam in this fiberglass car. A bad road rash and a broken leg? Isn't bad in comparison." Han said.
Bree released her seatbelt "not what statistics say but whatever, I gave up on those a long time ago." She sighed. Han stroked the top of her head a few times, he couldn’t fight an ominous feeling eating away at him, he felt as if he'd swallowed a bunch of stones.
In the chaos he just wanted to touch her, it calmed him.
Glancing out of his window he spotted a familiar drown, "great." Han murmured "what?" Bree asked. "We got eyes on us." Han said.
"I knocked him out...I crashed him into a fucking wall!" Bree gasped "you came put of it ok right? He did too." Han said.
Having got off focus, in the next turn Han had allowed Dk to drift in front of them, Bree saw Sean zoom off a good distance ahead of them and smiled at least he was safe for the moment.
Looking forward her eyes locked with Dk as he road in reverse, nose to nose with Han's car. "I liked this better when we did it, somebody please tell him I've already got a dance partner." Han muttered nervously.
Dk reached under his dash and lifted a small black pistol. "Shit, Raquel down!" Han shouted, Bree ducked as two shots fired "Han?!" She said in panic, "I'm good, just stay down." He said.
Bree shook and shut her eyes, Han looked Dk square in the face, seething. Those shot were purely to piss Han off, they weren't aimed at him and if Dk had really wanted to shoot Bree he would have. Dk wanted to put the fear in Han, after all Dk was the only other one who knee Han's story.
Dk smirked as he saw the cold haze slip across Han's eyes as he glared at him. Dk fired two more shots, Han ducked. That time...it was aimed for him.
His ears wrangler with Bree's yelps as more shots fired. Han could hardly sit up long enough to watch the road. His eyes darted between Bree, what little he could see from the front mirror and then, looking pass Bree out her widow he could see an small ambulance van parked on the side of the road.
Han exhaled, he rested a hand on Bree's back and leaned his forhead to the side of her head. "You trust me?" He asked her softly, Bree's screams stopped and she looked at him confused. "With everything." She said. Han smiled "then, I'm sorry for this " he said quietly. Letting go of the wheel Han leaned over her and before Bree could take in what was happening, she heard a distant crash, it drowned out the sound of the car door opeing, and she felt herself falling.
"Han?" She questioned trying her best to grab hold of his hand to pull herself back in to hold on. However, he quickly drew his hand away. "Roll Raquel!" He shouted before sitting up in his seat.
Bree felt the hard impact of the asphalt, it knocked the wind from her as her body rolled and tumbled. Cars dodged her and traffic stopped.
"Sean!" Neela called as she and Sean carefully got out of the banged up red car. It had been a close call with traffic but only the rear of the vehicle had been caved in.
"Bree!" Sean shouted as he watched her roll.
Bree groaned, she came to a stop, everyone on her was seeing with pain. She could hardly breath. Her leg was numb, and her arms popped and crackled as she tried to prop herself up on her elbows. Her stomach felt melted to the street, she could feel the black top pressed raw flesh.
Her eyes couldn't focus, and blood tricked into them from her crown, her world was one of double vision and ringing ears.
Shaking her head, her neck jolted with pain, but her vision cleared.
