Please read
For returning readers, this book may be very different to Nameless.
For new readers, reading Nameless before this is not needed, but you can if you wish.
Nameless was a short story, a book I fell in love with. I originally plotted Nameless out as a long, detailed story and then last minuet decided that I was going to scrap that, and write a cute little short story.
I did not expect to have such positive feedback. People were lovely in the comments and in my dms, and it was so sweet. I've personally never published a book and got reads and have feedback from people telling me they loved the story so much until I wrote nameless, I feel like the potential for the longer story I originally had is big, hence why I am publishing this right now.
Nameless extended is going to include everything, from the cute little chapters from Nameless to the huge extended ones, with so much detail and events that I missed out in the short story.
In the end of Nameless Louis was unable to hear still, but in this story happier endings are planned out :)
I hope that you read this and enjoy it as much as you did nameless, or if you're just reading this version.
A better understanding on deafness for those who have not read nameless;
Deafness is the third most common disability in the world, but you probably wouldn't spot a deaf person in a crowd.
Hearing loss may be caused by a number of factors, including: genetics, ageing, exposure to noise, some infections, birth complications, trauma to the ear, and certain medications or toxins.
I this case for Louis it will be trauma to the ear.
Direct blows to the ear or head;
Falls, car accidents, sports injuries, or fights may tear the eardrum, dislocate the ossicles, or damage the inner ear.
What is it like to be deaf?
Communication and community are a hugely important part of life. Deaf people are cut-off from the usual forms of communicating – a shout of warning, hearing your name at the doctors, over-hearing information in the street, or a passing word with a stranger.
It means deaf people can feel isolated and can find it hard to get information or help in an emergency. That's part of the reason that deaf people are twice as likely as hearing people to be affected by depression, anxiety and similar problems.
Deafness is not something to laugh about, again this is just a fanfiction and I do not mean to be disrespectful in anyway.
