"Yeah for now, took a lot of work and drugs to calm him down.." Bucky sighs.
"Anyways, i'll be back in a moment. Probably should tell Wanda I found you alive." He says before waving at Clint and I and heading back out the door.
What a mess..
Wanda's POV:
As I rush from office to office on one of the highest floors searching for Steve I can't help but stop to breathe for a second. Where was he? I hope he's ok, but a missing super soldier who's depressed and angry isn't a great situation. Just as i'm about to start running off again I hear my name being called faintly.
"Yeah?!" I yell back, hoping they can hear me.
Bucky jogs around the corner towards me, "I found Steve, he was with Clint."
"Is he ok?" I ask worried.
"I don't think he ever will be after this Wanda.." Bucky trails off, sad about his best friend.
"Will any of us?" I smile sadly at him. He nods, looking down. We all miss Natasha, but part of me still really believes that she's alive. Some how, somewhere is Natasha and we need to find her, or poor Steve will never recover.
"I guess no one ever does fully recover, but he won't by a long shot. Everyone could see how in love with her he was, and I had never seen her that open with anyone." Bucky let's out a sigh of defeat.
"We need to get her back, we need our team for everyone's sake. Soon enough there's going to be a life threatening mission that we have to deal with, but we can't when we're all like this. There's no way we will be able to cooperate and work like we have before." I reason.
Bucky nods in agreement while his lips form into a straight line, "Well, let's find her then."
As we walked down the hallway to get back to our floor I felt someone's feelings in the building intensify. It was a feeling I was familiar with registering when Natasha was still here,
Love.
I didn't dig any further into it, dismissing it as Steve without a doubt. Who else would it be, right?
Bruce's POV:
I should have said it, should have told someone at least.
How could I be so stupid? I know I really messed up, hurt her when I left after Ultron. But I only wanted to figure myself out so I couldn't hurt her.
I love her.
Loved.
I wish I could have told her before, I wanted her to know but,
Steve.
How did they even start dating anyways? I could tell that they were great together, she seemed so open with him, more so than she was with me maybe.
I couldn't help but feel jealous though. I wanted her, needed her but now she's gone.
Steve was an absolute wreck, I felt bad for the guy and I did respect him without a doubt. He was our Captain.
Although the jealousy kept taking over me, and the only one who could calm me down, sing me a lullaby,
Was gone.
~time skip~
I walk down the halls of the medical wing, going to check on Tony hoping he was awake. His anxiety used to be quite a problem, especially after New York but it seemed to calm down a bit until now. After a few twists and turns I find his room and enter to see him half awake.
"Hey Tony, feeling better?" I ask going to check his vitals.
"Mm I guess, drugs are great aren't they?" He gives me a crooked smile with a slur in his speech.
"Well I can see they're working which is good." I smile back, fixing his IV.
"Not well enough, I want a drug that brings Natalie Rushman back." He whines like a child, clearly high off his ass, still obviously upset though.
"You mean Natasha Romanoff?"
"Well yes but we first met when she pretended to be mine and Pepper's legal assistant under the name Natalie Rushman. Fury sent her when he wanted me for the Avengers initiative. Funny how that mess turned out." He laughs dryly.
I flash a sympathetic smile while updating his medical chart when I hear a knock at his door.
I go to open it and I see an overly exhausted Clint.
"Is this uh- Tony's room?" He asks while leaning against the doorframe.
"Yes it is darling. Wait a minute that's Clinton!" Tony claps excitedly.
"Oh, hey there Tony." Clint smiles lazily while falling into the chair in the corner, "I'm glad I finally found your room, I went into about 10 others without knocking before. At least half of them were unoccupied."
"Wow.." Tony stares at him in awe as if he had just given a kid a year supply of candy.
"Drugs?" Clint asks turning to me.
"Drugs." I confirm, "Weren't you just with Steve?"
Clint nods, "Yeah I was but he said he wanted to go for a walk, bad dream."
"I see." I reply. My phone then buzzes with a medical page asking for my assistance for an injured agent, "Duty calls, page me if anything goes wrong with Tony."
"No problem, see you soon." Clint replies.
"Bye bye Brucey I miss you already!" Tony waves.
"Ok Tony, bye now." I say as I walk out the room to where I'm needed.
