An interest in modesty

To whom it may interest,
The human body is a complex thing in and of itself. It's so intricately made that it is a wonder how we decide which is beautiful and which is ugly. Each body has beauty, that is a fact. The soul that it houses can add a vibrant effect on how people few it. I find the more I look around and see what the world says about beauty, the more I wish to conserve the true meaning.
I find that on any photograph with nudity in it there is always the urge to turn away. To look away for fear of the indecent. Why? Why turn away from something that is perfect in its flawed state. From a young age we are taught that nudity is shameful, something that should never be shown, as a result even in adulthood we shy away from it. On pictures people will react with anger or disgust not seeing the wonderful design that weaves the human body into existence.
Simple things like standing in front of a mirror naked can be difficult for some people. It's tragic that the human body has been made a slave to sexuality and lust. Made an object for only the purpose of sex. All people feel this curse. Never being able to completely bare themselves before anyone without feeling the impulse of shame.
That's not to say we should all rip off our clothes in a lewd fashion to impress upon anyone our desire to shock the public with our daring behavior. That would serve no purpose to honoring the human body. On the contrary that behavior perhaps adds to the public's unwillingness to see nudity as anything but inappropriate. However just taking a moment to asses our own thoughts on a persons body while nude before leaping to conclusions of sex could be possible.
I offer no solution. I'm not even sure if anyone would agree there is a problem. I just wonder what would happen if instead of seeing someone naked and immediately wondering why anyone would dare to present themselves in such a uncomfortable manor, we take a moment to ponder the beauty of the presentation. The purpose behind the scene. The beauty on the outside.

Love,

W
