Growing Zombies?

"What do you mean 'love' it's real I love Victoria" I growled

"All the Olympians well mostly my sister, Aphrodite, think the little thing you have with the Daughter of the Sun is love I think its your hormones"

I blushed feeling awkward with this conversation with Mr. D but pushed it aside "What do you mean Daughter of the Sun?" I asked

"See what I mean boy you don't even know her." he said annoyed "Now anyways as I was saying you accuse us gods of being vain but take a look at heros. Selfish using whatever or whoever they need and toss them aside once they're done. Ask Ariadne or Medea perhaps Zoë Nightshade and who knows maybe in a few years  the precious Daughter of the Sun will expierence another heart break"

"What do you mean another?"

"Just go follow your silly friends" he huffed I realized I was free so I stared at him "You're just letting me go like that?" I asked

"The prohecy said at least 2 of you will die hopefully you're one of them."

And just like that he was gone leaving me free.

"Let's go Blackjack" I said. We followed close by as Zander drove through the highways I suppose Zoë let go since his driving became controlled and steady. It wasn't until Maryland that he actually pulled into a rest letting Blackjack try to catch his breath.

"Stay here I'm going to go scout ok?" I said slipping on Annabeth's cap

'Stay ok I can manage'

I saw a small convience store and I was warming myself up to go inside for some hot chocalate since I had change in my pocket I was running through a plan when Zoë, Bianca, Zander, Thalia and Grover came out of the store

"You sure?" Thalia asked

"Pretty sure 99% ok 85"

"And you did that with acorns" Bianca asked critically

"Yes it's a very time honored tracking spell I'm pretty sure I did it right"

"D.C is about 65 miles from here Nico and I used to live there.. that's strange it' seems I've forgotten"Bianca muttered

"I dislike this we should keep going west like the prophecy said" Zoë said

"Oh like your tracking spells are any better" Zander snorted

Zoë stepped foward but so did Zander

"you dare question my skills you scullion you know nothing you man"

"Am I allowed to hit her does she even count as a girl?" Zander growled

"Not again c'mon stop arguing" Thalila snapped

"C'mon" Zander said "D.C's our best bet"

"I should drive. I HAVE been driving since automobiles were invented" Zoë snapped

"Doesn't make you a good driver" Zander sighed running a hand through his blonde hair.

As Blackjack and I followed the van south I couldn't help if what Zoë said was true. It would explain her english and why Zander had nicknamed her the Old Hag.

Soon the van drove past the Potomac River and it started to slow so Blackjack could rest and you know not run himself to the ground. "Set me down here this is close enough" I said Zander had parked about a block away from the Washington Monument which was where I was now so I could run to catch up. "Go to camp get some camp ok" I said

'You sure boss?'

"Yeah go on" I insisted

'Alright but be careful boss I'm sure they didn't come to meet anything friendly and handsome like me' Blackjack circled the monument a few times before actually leaving into the clouds leaving me alone.
