First Holiday

"Merry Christmas!" The members shouted in chorus, making it the only noise heard on the second floor of SM Entertainment's old building.

"Can't believe that it's our 4th Christmas Celebration together!" Sooyoung happily exclaimed as she collects the gifts she have for her co-members. "4th with our maknae, though," she then giggled out of realization.

"Well, it's our first." Joohyun corrected while removing her santa hat. "You know, family first. We've been celebrating Holidays with our families and meet again after. Though, while celebrating, we call each other," she shrugged after a short pause, "but then, it's holiday season and we want this to be as memorable as possible!"

Everyone cheered out of excitement after Joohyun raised a bottle of white champagne.

While having a great party, Seulgi's phone vibrated. Seungwan smirked at the thought of who must that be. As she peek at her friend's phone, the lady's smirk grew wider. She's right.

Seulgi, who's confused whether to answer or not in the middle of their group's celebration, nervously look at Seungwan. The latter only gave her a raised eyebrow. Seulgi then turned to Joohyun, who's busy pouring Sooyoung and Yerim's wine glass. Back to Seungwan, who gave her a thumbs up and sweet smile. Good thing she understands, Seulgi thought.

She walked farther from the crowd and with hand shaking, she slid the button to the right. Okay, this is it, Kang Seulgi! She cheered herself before letting out a silent sigh.

"Hi," she greeted nervously the one on the other line. "Sorry to keep you waiting... we were having fun so, uhm..."

He chuckled, a very familiar one to Seulgi's ear. "No, it's fine. I called you to greet Merry Christmas." She can almost hear him smile.

How whipped I must be? Seulgi thought at the slightest things she noticed. Her breathing pattern grew faster at the thought of the man who remembered her during Christmas Eve.

"Hmm, yeah. Merry Christmas!" Though the lady tried to hide her heart's loud beating, her voice cracked a little.

"Are you alright?" Sehun asked worriedly at the orher end of the line. "Are you sick?"

As if Sehun can see her, Seulgi shook her head repeatedly, "no, I'm perfectly fine!" She snickered

Long silence stretched for about a minute or two, hearing only the other end's noises, it could be Sehun's members loudness and her members' roar of laughters.

"Do you have any plans after?" Sehun asked, Seulgi could almost hear his uneasiness.

"Huh? Uhm, probably going back to dorm. Maybe staying a bit? Members are surely going home to their families, Seungwan, too. Her parents are here."

She could almost hear him pout, "how about you? Aren't you going to Ansan to celebrate with your family?"

"I'll go tomorrow. It's late and I'm afraid of driving alone at midnight." She shrugged, getting used to the feeling, getting comfortable with the conversation. "And you?"

"I'll go tomorrow, too." He said, "perhaps, we could celebrate together?" It's almost a whisper.

Her heart starts to hammer against her chest. She couldn't understand how she's feeling. It's a mix of thrill, excitement, and anxiousness all at once. Her breathing hitched and she knew what will happen next.

Of course, the excitement to see him again urged her to say yes but she couldn't voice it out. It has been a while since they last seen each other and those days were like hell for Sehun. It was hard for Seulgi, too, but their everyday call brought her at ease.
