A wilting flower
Of days gone by
For none shall hear
Its deafening sigh
Its days are numbered
It shall turn to ash
But before that day
Shall come to pass
It shall rejoice in the sunshine
It shall bathe in the shade
It shall laugh and be happy
It shall not be afraid
It shall sing to the heavens
It shall wade in the streams
It shall spend time with loved ones
It shall follow its dreams
And when that day comes
Where the sky turns a pale gray
It shall pass as it lived
Free from dismay
