Crescent awoke to a chill spring morning, the song birds were singing a nice tune and nearly lulled the pup back to sleep. His ears twitching at each soft note.
Before Crescent could start sleeping again his brother woke up and rolled right onto him, waking Crescent right up. His twins legs covering his eyes.
Crescent shook off and crawled backwards out from under his brother and quickly trotting over to the door and before stopping and turning to look at his brother who was still laying down.
"Stop doing that, I don't like it.."
Crescent said with his ears tucked back, sticking his tongue out.
"Oh, sorry..."
Dodger yawned before sitting up and stretching out, shivering just a bit from the morning air.

Crescent shook off once more then walked out of his room and into the main room of the house, his mother was already awake and had started to fix the pups some breakfast.
Crescent walked up to her and leaned on her leg as he watched her place some bread on the plate next to a scrambled egg.
"There you go, has Dodger got up yet?"

"I'm awake..."
Dodger replied as he made his way to their mother, his tail was a bit low but it wagged softly and he smiled even though he was clearly still tired.
Crescent sat down and lifted his chin, sticking out his tongue again and then grinning.
Dodger sort of glared and then stuck out his tongue with a sort of odd growl.
"What are you two arguing about this morning?"
Their mother asked with a hint of sarcasm under her breath.
Crescent looked up to his mom and sighed.
"He hit me again when he got up!"

"I did not!"
Dodger piped up with a whine, his tail now lifted stiffly in defiance.
Their mother shook her head slowly with a pitiful smile across her face.
Crescent then realized he must have started something silly again, Dodger was now sitting on the other side of their mom and half asleep as he waited for his food.
Crescent looked down at his paws and thought for a moment, studying his pads as if he were looking for a thorn stuck between his claws. With a brief and silent sting of guilt he stood up and walked away, he hadn't gotten to far when his mother sat his plate down and called him over to eat.
"You can't go out on an empty stomach, you'll come crying back hungry and tired." She added, a soft but understanding tone in her voice.

Crescent hesitated for a mere moment before quickly trotting over and sitting at the table, scarfing his eggs and toast down as he was hungrier then he had first realized.
-----
Snow sat back and watched as her pups practically inhaled their breakfasts, Crescent was done nearly as soon as he started and was headed straight to the door.
He must really want to go out today, maybe he had made plans with Faoilin or Lupe... That or he's eager to leave his brother for annoying him This morning.
She sighed and gave a quick yap, catching the fluffy gray pups attention once again.
"Crescent..."

"Yes mom?"

"You stay inside the gate today, no running around the woods like last night, okay?"
His posture sunk a bit, his eyes trailed off to the door and his tail twirled as if he wanted to ignore her words.
Somehow she wasn't surprised he had planned to go back into the forest, it was probably Faoilin's idea, the poor boy had been looking for his father ever since his mother had mentioned his name.
With a softer look she nodded her head and Crescent have her a quick but small grin, his ears perked up and he went outside, running off quicker then a frightened rabbit.
"Stay safe..." She mumbled aloud, turning her attention to her other pup, Dodger had finished his meal and was curled up in the corner of the room, taking his morning nap... Much like his father he was only truly awake around noon.
She got up and went over to look out the window, gazing around the surrounding homes and breathing a sigh of relief when she spotted her son waiting outside of Lola's home, he was leaning to look into the window every now and then, a big smile rushed across his face when Lupe came out, his dancing paws flittered about as they greeted each other, it wasn't long before the two rushed away toward the other side of the village, most definitely to get Faoilin to tag along. That red pup was normally in the gang but was known as a bit of an accident when it came to fire.. Somehow he managed to burn most everything he broke.
And though she would never dare to say anything to him or his mother, Snow feared that the trouble Faoilin got into would soon creep up and become a bigger issue then a broken vase or burnt curtains... And that it would drag Crescent and Lupe along in its wake.
