It was not my first case. Not nearly. But it was going to be my most intense one. I had recently joined a new team. Brandon Jenkins' team was known as the best team, particularly if you wanted to focus on hunting serial killers. I had made the team. Yaay me! Our first case was going to be in Portland, a small town called Baker City where a serial killer had been killing and raping young women, in that order. I was hoping we could catch this guy before he did more damage. And I was hoping I would be of some use.
