I walked downstairs and I smelled food. I ate and then went upstairs and stayed in my room pretty much all day until I heard the doorbell ring. I looked at my phone to check the time, and I realized it was time for Tony to be coming over. I ran downstairs and opened the door. Thank god I was gonna be home alone until tomorrow afternoon. When I opened the door, Tony was standing there looking down at the ground, and let me tell you, he looked amazing. Wait- what did I just- I've never thought anything like that when it comes to Tony. I looked him up and down and then told him to come in. He happily did and looked around at my house. "Ok, um, my room is up here. Unless you wanna study in the living room. " "Nah, your room is fine. " "Ok, well follow me" We headed upstairs and into my room.
He sat on my bed, and I got all of our work out and turned some music on. "Ok, so if x=8 then what it the solution to the equation y= 6x+b? " He stared at the paper for a second. "I honestly don't know. Ugh! I'm gonna fail this test tomorrow!!! " I grabbed his hands and looked him in the eye. "No you won't. Just think about it and take your time. I'm your tutor so it's my job to help you explain and that's what I'm gonna do. You'll be fine tomorrow. " He took a big breath and started to relax. I let his hands go and we went back to working.
*1 hour later*
It's been about an hour, but Tony hasn't gotten a single question right, and I'm kinda starting to get worried. "Ok, so what is the slope of this line right here? " "I don't know" "Just think about it Tony" He paused for a second. "3/4? " I smiled and nodded my head. His eyes lit up and he smiled from ear to ear. "Really?! " "Mhm" He stood up, picked me up, and spun me around. I laughed and he set me down and we looked at each other in the eyes for a couple seconds, and then I pulled away. "We should continue working since you obviously got the hang of it." He nodded his head and we went back to working, and he surprisingly got every single question right. Hopefully he'll pass tomorrow or I'm doing all of this for nothing...
