Chapter 12

Madi POV

After Caroline's confession I overheard, she fell a sleep, I walked over to Elena and offered a hug, she 'hugged' me back, I began walking her to the door when Damon, once again, suddenly appeared.

"Caroline's sleeping on the couch." Elena whispered to him while gesturing for him to be quite.

"I heard. And you?" he whispered back.

"I'm going home."

She then walked past him with me following, his eyes on me, watching me as if his eyes were asking if I was leaving too.

"what you did for Caroline's mum.. That's the Damon who was my friend." Elena said stopping at the door before opening the door.

"hey." Damon said grabbing her attention just as she was going to leave.

"Stefan didn't drink the people blood, if you were curious. But he needs to. And deep down, you know that." Damon said before turning to look at me and then glancing at the stair case, wanting to give Elena and Stef some privacy I followed him up.

Elena POV

Stefan was sitting with his face in his hands when I walked in, so I just crossed threshold and stood just inside the parlor.

"you can come in." he said looking over his shoulder, I stayed where I was.

"do you really think that you can control it?" I ask.

"I don't know." he answered honestly.

"but if I don't try..." he cut off.

"so a little bit every day?" I began walking over to him.

He nodded.

"yeah, just a few drops of blood in my system. I think it's worth trying."

"so do i." I agreed,

"but I don't want you to do it alone." I added before picking up the letter opener on the side table next to me.

"what are you doing?"he asked, I sliced the palm of my hand slightly and placed the knife back on the table, taking another few steps and sitting down, I was now next to Stefan.

"it's you and me, Stefan. Always." I promised and held out the hand I had just cut. He hesitated but took my blood, when he pulled away I placed my other hand on his cheek, both of us leaning forward and kissed, it felt right to me, the kiss, but something was off with Stef I don't know what so I'm just going to ignore it, for now.

Madi POV

I followed Damon to his room, he walked over to his bed while I stood at his door.

"just going to stand there looking pretty?" Damon teased.

I walked in and closed the door behind me, Damon smirked and wiggled his eyes making me giggle a little.

"Mind. Out. Of. Gutter. Now." I told him.

He sat on the bed and I walked over to him.

"I wanna talk." I stated, he was about to get up so I pushed him back on the bed, he pushed himself up so he was now sitting against the backboard of the bed, he then motioned for my with his finger. I kicked off my shoes and climbed on to the bed and went to sit next to him but he grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap, so now I was straddling Damon.

"Damon?" I breathed out nervously, his face was so close, we were just staring into each others eyes.

-buzzzz-

My phone vibrated once to tell me I had revived a text message, I pulled it out slowly, my eyes still locked with his.

"I've always been a more of an acted now talk later kind of guy." he whispered pushing a few strands of hair behind my ear.

I was about to say something when suddenly Damon's lips were against mine, they felt so strong yet so soft, his tongue ran along my bottom lip begging for entrance, which I refused but Damon wouldn't take no for an answer, his hands ran down my back to my ass then suddenly grabbed it making me gasp. Taking full advantage, his tongue invaded my mouth, exploring it and I followed his lead and explored his mouth too, I was literally out of breath so I had to pull back. Our eyes were closed, foreheads pressed together and both panting with smiles from ear to ear. I slowly opened my eyes to see Damon doing the same, a faces still only inches a part.

- ding, ding, ding, ding....-

Damon's phone was ringing, he groaned and slowly tore his gaze from mine.

"I have to take this." he sighed.

I got off him and he walked into the bathroom and began talking to somebody, I then remembered I had a text message so I decided to read it now before Damon comes back out.

-text message convo-

Kat- Madi your in so much trouble!

Madi- your trying to hurt MY SISTER!!!

Kat- Madi you don't understand. I'm your family not her, they will turn on you, I won't. Remember that.

Madi- I trust them.

Kat- then you being stupid. Have you forgot everything I've taught you?!?

Madi- no that's why I trust them!

Kat- I don't want you getting involved with the brothers!

Madi- why because there Kat's property?

Kat- Madi I mean it!

Madi- is that a threat?

Kat- no but this is,

If you get involved with either Salvatore I'll end their immortal life! Do we understand each other?

No!!! I held the phone to my chest for a minute before replying with a simple 'I understand'. Sighing I got off Damon's bed, I have to get out to here before anything else happens between us, Kat would find out and kill him.

3rd person POV

Mason cautiously walk over to the passenger side of the sleek black car parked in the middle of nowhere and got in. The person in the drivers side turned to face him revealing it to be Katherine.

"I've been waiting." she said.

Mason leaned over to kiss her only to be stopped by her hand.

"ah. What was that stunt today that you pulled with Damon and Stefan Salvatore?" she asked.

"Thought you'd be happy about that."

"I told you to stay away from them."

"why do you even care?" Mason questioned.

"I don't want you to get distracted. I need you to find the moonstone."

A sly smile crept onto Mason's face for Katherine to see.

"you got it."

"I got it." Mason confirmed.

Katherine shook her head slightly before leaning in to Mason, kissing him hard.
