i heard them, before you shouted,
the wicked call of an endless
void.
i felt the force of the wind
guiding me home.
a ship left out at sea,
a dark cavern to beckon me,
i forgot you, and i forgot we.
i shifted, bones crunching,
fluid like disease.
you threw me over
i'll pull you under
with new found wings.
