Ishi Azusa, she lived a life free of people on the streets of mustafu. She could never see the outside word because she was afraid, afraid of killing someone with her eyes that turned people to stone. But she was okay since she wasn't completely alo...

(Like this kinda but switch out the hair for snakes, make her super pale, add in the facial scales, etc)
Ishi started to shrink down into herself as the sounds around her got louder and louder, people were pushing her and she was jostled around roughly. She didn't like it. At all.
She was starting to whimper lightly when she got to the ticket booth where they were asking for either U.A. I.D. badges or ticket's people had bought online.
"Ticket please" One of the school guards asked, her voice seemed bored and ready to just get onto her break and avoid the flood of people.
Ishi stammered, she didn't have a ticket, she wasn't even supposed to be there, she didn't know what to do. Tears started pricking at the corners of her eyes under the bandages wetting them slightly. One of her snakes extended themselves reaching into the large hoodie pocket and retrieving her on campus security badge and showing it to the guard who's eyes widened for a moment before patting Ishi on the back comfortingly, "Welcome to the festival Ishi! Does Aizawa know you're here? I can page him to come bring you up to the announcer box if you want?" She was already starting to click on the button at the side of her walkie talkie the static buzzing loudly in Ishi's sensitive ears.
"Um, no no I'm Okay I'm coming to see a um see a friend of mine" the edge of her mouth tilted up happily when she said 'friend'. The Guard smiled lightly and pushed her along, "Have fun!"
Ishi's snakes brought her to a more isolated area of the festival, avoiding the thick, busy lines for Takoyaki and Cotton Candy. They pulled her phone out of her large pocket while simultaneously putting her Identification Card back into it. They scrolled through her long list of hero contacts before finally getting to the incredibly short list labeled "Friends", They clicked on Tamaki's number and wrote a hurried text knowing from Mirio's social media that at the very least the group was at the festival.
"Why did you bring me hereee!" Ishi whined, "I'm supposed to be in my room, watching from where it's safe and where they will know where I am, and where I can see" she started to slide down the wall, the back of her hoodie getting pushed up while the rough wall started to scratch at her back.
"But were you happy?~" they chorused. She wanted to cry. She wasn't happy, she was safe and usually safe was better than happy, but when she had something, or rather someone, who made her truly happy, she couldn't feel anything but sad when he wasn't around, when they weren't talking over food, sitting in a big friendship pile with the big flatscreen playing a new hero movie, when they weren't trading secrets and ambitions, she felt overwhelmingly lonely. Ishi had decided that learning what it was like to be with people and not being able to feel that way all the time was much worse than not having ever had company at all.
"Are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice broke through her thoughts, she tilted her head in acknowledgement, the tip of her snakes head peeking out to take a look at the bent over stranger before standing slightly on edge when they didn't recognise him.
She nodded slightly, "I'm fine" she sniffed fine, curling up a little more into herself in anxiety, the rough concrete wall digging just a little more into her back drawing just the slightest bit of blood that began to trickle down leaving a small stain on the wall itself, she winced in pain, he took notice.
"You don't look so great, here, why don't I take you to the nurses room to get you patched up then maybe we can watch the festival and you can tell me why you're curled up in the shadows crying all alone, sound good?" The offer itself didn't seem so bad, the part that she didn't like was that she didn't know who he was or what he wanted from her. People always want something.
The pain in her back suddenly felt like nothing, the patchwork of scar tissue across it was the only thing being damaged and she was just too incredibly scared right now to care. She didn't have any way to run and so she just pressed herself further and harder against the wall.
"Please back up" Tamaki's strong yet quiet voice cut off the new mans rambling. "I need to get to the civilian so I can bring her to the infirmary so if you could please get out of the way so I can do my job I would appreciate it" Ishi felt relief wash over her in thick waves with every word he spoke, he was talking like a hero, like when he was caught up in a fight and forgot people were watching, he was there to save her, from this man, from her fear, and from being so bitterly alone. He was her hero.
A.N. So uh, heyyyy? It's been a while and this hasn't been edited (I have an editor I swear but I binge wrote it and then wanted to get it up asap because I was excited). One thing I get lots of comments on and want to adress because I'm kind of getting tired to reanswering it is: "Can't Ishi wear sunglasses so she can see?" well... The short answer is: the concept of this story was built off her looking someone in the eye and causing them to turn to stone, some myths have it so medusa turns people into stone only when they see her eyes but I based on off the concept of her seeing people, and simply put: Sunglasses can't beat magic. More complexly put: I really don't want such a big and difficult thing in Ishi's life to be solved so quickly and I want to convey a couple of things such as the idea that you can love someone unconditionally even if you don't know everything about them, as well as the idea that looks don't matter when you're in love both with Tamaki loving someone who looks like Ishi (which would scare many people) and Ishi loving Tamaki without knowing what he looks like. I also have grown to see the bandages around Ishi's eyes as a part of her, its the one thing in her life that has remained constant and I think that even if she didn't need to wear them she would still wear them as a comfort, she would probably feel really awkward going out without them just like I personally have really long hair because its a thing that has stayed constant in my life and so I don't want to cut it, its like a security blanket. I also just really like the bandage aesthetic . So no I will never in the caniconical universe of this fic let her use sunglasses to "fix" the issue because I have those rights as an author and because I am really trying to convey some of these hard topics. I may mess around with some of that kind of stuff in omake chapters, I haven't decided yet, please do comment ideas or pairings that you would like for omake chapters though. I plan to write another chapter tonight so keep your eye out for that.
