Prologue

"Duke! I bags this room!" i yelled as i walked into a bedroom with a window facing the long road leading to the beach

We moved here all the way from the Easter Suburbs of Sydney, over the bridge and to Manly. I guess you could say that Manly isn't that big of a change, but for me it is. I'm not used to any type of change. 

I gave an twin brother called Duke, he is probably the best, most annoying, loving older brother, and i wouldn't trade him for any one else.

And that leaves me, I'm Dylan, and yes i AM A GIRL! 

my parents wanted to be qUiRkY with our names, so i got left with a "boys name", but to be honest i love it.

I didn't really want to start at a new school, to make new friends with total strangers, but i was kinda excited i guess, at least i had my brother

The only reason we moved was because our Dad got a promotion for some producing company.

the room i picked out had a mattress in it already, so that saved me the hassle.

I dropped down the last of the boxes that i carried in from the moving van, and i searched through my suitcase for a pair of sweatpants and an over sized t shirt that i had probably stolen from Duke.

"hey Dyls, whats happening?" Duke said as he walked into my room, and sat on my bed

"im trying to sort my shit out, what about you?" i asked him sarcastically,

" well im trying to annoy my sister" he replied, making me chuckle

"are you excited for the new school?" i asked him as i finally found the t shirt and pants that i was looking for. 

" yeah, i already know a couple of kids from there, do you remember my mate Dane from AFL?" he said 

"oh yeah, i think i remember him" i replied

"anyways, get your shit ready for tomorrow" duke said as he ruffled my hair and left my room

okay so he isn't THAT annoying

i grabbed my backpack and shoved a few books in there, as well as my pencil case and laptop

i walked into  my small bathroom, brushed my teeth and then hopped into my new bed.

oh was this place going to be a new experience...
