                                   Hynsgrove

The Hynsgrove Asylum stood on the hill amongst the brown crinkled grass.  Emma and her friends had heard sounds coming from the building. They made a pact that on Halloween night they were going to enter the old run down abandoned institution. The institution’s windows shattered; with little crystal sized pieces lying dormant on the frigid ground. The thin brittle roof had begun to dip down to about the point of falling into oblivion. To the left of the entrance lay the wrought- iron gated graveyard. Hundreds of tiny stone-carved graves lined the small perimeter. The thunderstorm that loomed above was strong enough to violently shake the ground. Chris opened the shaky front door and walked slowly into the sanitarium with his friends in tow. As soon as they walked through the wooden blood- stained door, it slammed shut. James threw his hands to the rusty door handle, trying to force it open. “It’s stuck, there’s no way of getting out of here,” Said James breathing deeply. The hallway became very frigid, icy cold; chills ran down the length of James’ back. Emma had a pale fog like substance escape her mouth. She turned around one second before she was viciously thrown from where she was standing, flying 10 feet in the air, violently hitting the cracked plaster wall. Sarah rushed over to her best friend. Emma’s head lay still. She made no sound. Chris and James continued by themselves. As Chris and James turned the sharp corner, the chandelier above shook dangerously, sending it straight the cement floor, blocking their path. Chris stopped short, coughing violently. Bubbly red liquid streamed down his face, falling into a seizure- like state. Chris felt scorching, His body blotched red. He spontaneously combusted into nothing, leaving James in shock.
