"Mysterious Forest..."

She found herself surrounded by the butterflies once more. The bus was still, time appearing frozen. A butterfly floated in her face before fluttering out the back bus doors. She followed the butterfly, as usual, keeping track of it while also setting a timer to see how long the time freeze would last this time. She didn't remember her own name, but she remembered that she had been through this before. The bus had been one stop away from her destination before the abrupt change. Her headphones continued to play music as she followed behind the butterfly. The music had changed, as usual, to a song she could never identify. It had no voices; simply a pleasant, calming sound.

She found herself in front of a beautiful forest not far from the bus stop. It wasn't real, though. At least, she knew it wasn't since she had never seen a forest like it around. The butterfly continued into the forest. Although she usually felt brave, this forest had a sort of chilling vibe to it. She paused for a second to check the timer, to which she noticed she only had about ten or twelve minutes before she had to start going back to the bus.

After a bit of a debate, she decided to just walk in the forest for a bit and check what the butterfly might have wanted to show her. She made it quick by running ahead of the butterfly to hopefully get it to move faster. The butterfly remained at the current pace it was going, so she figured she would just take a quick peek without the butterfly and leave. The forest was so dense although it was simply a fake image inside of a time freeze. She decided that it was too risky to explore such a huge forest since she might get lost in it, so she headed back to the bus to quickly write at least a snippet of the new journey to remember for later, where she would write it in her actual journal. The butterfly had slowly fluttered by her before she had started to bolt through the forest, hoping she was going the right way. She made it out with a few minutes left until she would be lost, so she decided she'd try and simply remember the journey, although she knew that wouldn't happen.

She made it back to the bus just in time with only a bit of time left, at least, she thought. The times were random, she only knew that the time freeze only lasts for about twenty to twenty-five minutes. She used this spare time to write at least the important details of the trip: what the forest looked like, what kind of trees it had, the type of butterfly that led her, etc. She had just finished writing when her time had run out.

Her vision went white for a few seconds before she woke up. She was still on the bus and right before her stop. As some other kid from her school pulled the line for the stop, she checked for the notebook she had written her journey in, not seeming to remember what it was about but remembering that she had gone on it. She found the details and stuffed the notebook back into her backpack so as not to miss her stop. As she and a few other students hopped off the bus to get to school, she tried her best to remember something she had forgotten to write down:

What had the butterfly led her through to get to that forest?
