The moment your parents were aware of your existence, in your mother's womb, you were already given a thought of how you will turn out to be. "He/ she would be a successful businessman/woman ". "I bet he/she would make a good actor/actress someday". Most of the thoughts would be based accordingly through your parents, their line of work, personalities, etc. Innocence is your very first trait. No one judges you. Everyone adores you. You can call it "Perks of infantry".

As you grow old, innocence slowly fades away. Judgements comes closer to you. Independence starts to grow. You begin to define who you really are.

"It's not who I am, but what i do, that defines me".

-TDK, Bruce Wayne
