14 HOURS EARLIER...
✿ ೃ࿔ "OKAY, WE have three minutes until the um.. results." nuvia told mattia as she walked towards him to join him on her bed. when she sat down, he took her hands in his, and looked into her eyes. they were the same eyes he looked into when he told her he loved her, the same eyes he looked into when he gave her the ring on her birthday, but for some reason, it didn't feel like it.
"you know i love you right?" he asked and she nodded. it didn't take long for her to break down in tears, the whole situation was just overwhelming. after all, they were just kids.
when nuvia looked into his eyes again, she began to think about how two years ago, when she had first met mattia, she never would've thought that they'd be in a situation like this. then she thought of kairi, the boy who loved her first, and cried even more at the thought of him and what his reaction would be when he'd find out.
mattia kissed her forehead and whispered about how things were going to be okay, even though he doubted it. he felt bad, he really did.. because as the girl he loved lay in his arms crying, he couldn't help but think about another girl he loved.
when she had stopped crying, the timer nuvia set up went off, making them both jump and they immediately made their way towards the bathroom where the test was.
and nuvia could have cried again ( although tears of joy this time) when she saw one line instead of two, but instead she just hugged mattia, who didn't even have enough time to process that she was in fact not pregnant. he was shocked yes, and didn't want to get his hopes up yet in case a second line magically appeared out of bad luck, but he was so so relieved.
the sad part is, while nuvia was laughing and claiming about how she was so dramatic for nothing, mattia stayed quiet and ended up surprising himself when he almost told her right then and there that he wanted to break up with her.
