Tails the Fox x Reader

So, there you were, walking around town, when you see this really cool plane with tools surrounding it.

Then a yellow fox with two tails appeared from under it. He had a smile on his face as he put his tools away.

'He's kind of cute... No he's ADORABLE!' you thought as you watched the kitsune. You blushed at your thoughts.

"Hey Buddy!" Someone called. Before you could turn around, a blue flash ran past, almost knocking you down.

"Hey Sonic!" The fox smiled as the blur stopped to reveal a blue hedgehog. "I fixed the X Tornado! Now it can go almost as fast as you!"

The blue hedgehog smiled and rubbed the top of the kitsune's head. You silently watched them, feeling like a stalker.

'No, I'm not stalking, I'm just... watching from afar... yeah.' You tried to convince yourself.

The fox looked right at you, your (E/C) orbs and his baby blue eyes locking. You stayed like that, mesmerized by the moment. He arched a brow, and you realized that you were just caught listening in to their conversation. You quickly ran off, but soon your wrist was grabbed by the fox.

"Excuse me, but why were you staring?" He asked politely.

"Uh..." you tried to come up with something that's not 'You looked cute and I couldn't help but stare.'

The blue hedgehog stood beside the fox and was tapping his foot impatiently. They both were staring at you. You would run again, but it was as if you were frozen.

"... I saw the plane... It looks nice." You said quietly, hoping that they believe what you said. After all, it wasn't a complete lie. The plane did look cool.

The fox's look brightened. "Really? You think so?"

You nodded, happy that he looked happy.

"I'm Miles Prower, but everyone calls me Tails." He smiled. "And this is Sonic."

You smiled at the two. "I'm (Y/N)."

Sonic's ears perked up when he heard your name. "(Y/N)... I know that name from somewhere..."

Tails looked at Sonic. "What do you mean?"

You looked at Sonic curiously. "You think you know me? That's a first... I barley know who I am... I was brainwashed a month ago..."

Then it hit you. All of this did look familiar... the plane- what was it's name?- The X Tornado... and Sonic and Tails...? They both looked familiar...

Sonic snapped his fingers. "Oh, I remember! You were Tails' girlfriend who was brainwashed! Then Tails was so sad that he made a machine to erase the memory!"

You and Tails looked at each other, then back at Sonic. "What!?"

"It's been a whole month since we saw you (Y/N)!" Sonic was now hugging you. "It's only been a couple weeks since Tails erased his memory! You guys probably remember nothing." He then frowned.

"Sonic, are you sure about that?" Tails arched a brow as he stared at the azure hedgehog. You had the same look.

"Positive! I would never forget the girl who made you happy just by smiling!" Sonic looked at Tails then you with a small frown. "I wish you'd remember!"

"Maybe if you told us the story of how we lost our memory?" You suggested.

He nodded then began, "Well, one day you two were hanging out with me at our house when Eggman appeared with some strange gun looking thing. He zapped (Y/N) as soon as he appeared. He was about to shoot me, but I dodged and destroyed the thing. Then, Tails examined it and said that it was a mind erase gun... Tails, you broke down into tears... when we went back to (Y/N), well, you dissapeared... Tails was crying 24/7 and I tried my best to comfort him, but he ended up re-making the mind erase gun. Well, Tails, you used it on yourself..."

You and Tails looked at each other with wide eyes.

"Maybe... I still have it! And then, I can reverse it!" Tails suggested. Then the three of you ran off to Tails' house.

They led you downstairs, where many inventions were. I looked around at the inventions as Tails and Sonic looked around the room frantically, looking for the gun.

You opened a small drawer and found a picture of you and Tails and a strange gun. You picked the objects up a showed them to the guys.

"That's it!" Sonic said and grabbed it from you. Before you and Tails could react, he shot you both. Everything went black.

The first thing you saw when you woke up was Tails with a bright smile. "Tails?"

"(Y/N)!" He hugged you. "I remember everything now! I feel so stupid."

You giggled as you hugged him back. You remembered everything! You kissed the kitsune's cheek and pulled away. "I missed you Tails!"

"I missed you too! I'm never going to let Eggman do that again!" He held you protectively in his arms. "I never want to forget you, ever!"

"Same here." You said before you kissed him. He kissed back.

"It's good to see him actually happy again." You heard Sonic whisper to himself before he left you two quietly.

For the rest of the day, you two cuddled and watched movies...
