Prompt
Christmas fever has taken over Hogwarts, but it's not the only holiday being celebrated this winter.
Hogwarts has a diverse mix of students, who bring all kinds of cultural festivities with them. There's a menorah in each common room and late-night whispers about the Krampus. Lucky red envelopes are filled for Chinese New Year, and the Russian-British students have another feast for their Christmas in January. First years put their shoes outside their dormitories on the eve of St Nicholas' Day, and Auld Lang Syne can be heard through the halls on Hogmanay. A few muggle-borns even celebrate Festivus!
Write a 500-word short story about any winter festival you like (Christmas or another one - doesn't have to be one listed), and what that might look like at Hogwarts. It can take place in any era, with the canon characters or original ones. The choice is yours!
