Frozen Flames

Chapter 1

Set after Frozen 2.
Introduction
The tale of the enchanted forest spread like wildfire across the nations surrounding Arendelle. Elsa is loving life in the forest -free at-last. Anna and Kristoff are happy together with Sven and Olaf in Arendelle; seeing Elsa every few weeks. Everything is perfect... Until one day when a ball is held and a secret is unveiled that causes everything to change ... again.

Anna PoV
Today is the day! We're celebrating Kristoff's and my first wedding anniversary- I am so excited! We're holding a ball and lots of guests from surrounding nations are invited. It's going to be amazing and Elsa is coming with the Northuldra leader and a few of the people. It's been a few weeks since I have seen her but we still see each other regularly, she's much happier there and that makes me happy.
Haphazardly, I start to climb out of bed - falling in the process and also waking Kristoff- whoops!
"Anna, what are you doing it's really early." Kristoff half mumbles in his sleep.
"It's the day, come on let's get up and celebrate the day and Elsa's coming!" Just as I finish my excited speech a knock resonates from the door. I am about to answer it but Kristoff leaps from the bed - awakening suddenly and slips out the door leaving me overly confused. Just as I stray to approach the door he slips back in.
"What was that about?" I ask curiously.
Kristoff shuffles anxiously before whipping a bouquet of flowers from behind his back.
"Happy anniversary!" He grins
I squeal and engulf him a teddy bear hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I spurt as I take the flowers and lightly kiss him on his nose. A red dusting spreads across his adorable face causing me to giggle.
After placing the flowers in a vase on the dresser, Kristoff approaches and bows before saying
"Now your majesty, I believe that there is a day of festivities in store - May I guide you." This causes me to blush but I accept his outstretched hand and kiss it before whispering
"Of course and always."

Elsa PoV
Today's the day, I'm heading back to Arrendelle to see Anna and Kristoff, and Sven and Olaf - can't forget them. I'm a bit nervous as I have to attend a proper ball with dukes, duchesses, kings and queens. I have control of my powers but I'm just nervous about what people will think. Anyways, we're leaving in an hour and I'm still deciding what to wear - Anna said she could get me a dress from the castle but I'm not sure, I have a 6hour journey to decide so at least there's that. I'm so excited to see Anna, she is a really good queen and it suits her better than it ever did me. I belong here with the spirits free to explore and build my powers. Walking out of my hut I see all the children running around and throwing snowballs all over the place. (Made of naturally fallen snow) just as I am about to reach the sled - kindly given to us by Kristoff- and place my bag in a snowball hits me square in the face. The pitter-patter of feet stop as the children look timidly before pointing at Luna, a small girl with a sheepish grin on her face.
"Hey Elsa, you know we all love you and that you love us.." just alas she is about to continue her rambling a snowball of magical origin falls on top of her. I giggle as I do so, and then I'm bombarded by lots of snowballs from the herd of children. Laughter fills the village as snowballs fly all over the place. In the end we all end up in the snow making snow angels. As I close my woes and relax against the snow and catch a breather from laughing, 4 children jump on me with snow, causing the laughing to erupt again. Just as I'm about to get my revenge Yelena speaks
"Elsa" causing my head to whip around and in the process depositing a rather large snowball on the children's heads.
"Yes Yelana."
"Are you ready to go." Oh yes! I forgot and climb in the sled which has Yelana, myself and a couple of others in. With that we set off, off back to Arrendelle.
