He overslept!

Everyone turned surprised. "My King Théoden!" bowed Háma. "For Helm's hammer what is going on here?!Erkenbrand?! Why are you still here?!Éomer?" said the king almost furiously. His face getting the slight shade of red. His nephew lowered his gaze for a while and then looked at his uncle, "Everything is wrong! Letters were mixed and probably will not get to the right person."
Théoden looked at him shocked, "But Aragorn must get the message! We need him!" Éomer sighed defeated.
"I know. We have to do something."
"I might know about something."
Théoden, Éomer, Háma and Erkenbrand turned to see who it was.
"Haleth?" said Háma and hugged his son. "What do you mean?" said Éomer with raised eyebrow.

1 hour later

"Do you think that this will work?" said King Théoden, scratching the back of his neck, looking at the bunch of fireworks tied together. "Well, not really but we give nothing for a try." smiled Haleth and tightened the rope around it.
"Where did you get them?" asked his father. "Wizard Gandalf left them here from his last visit. He said we will surely need them."he answered.
"And he was right." chuckled Erkenbrand and shook his head. Éomer coughed a bit to caught an attention, "If we will fire them, be prepared that everyone around will know about it. Even the ones we don't want them to see it."
Théoden looked at Éomer and raised his hand above his head, "When I give you a signal you will light it."
"Let's hope that they will understand." prayed Éomer and carefully watched his uncle.
Everyone waited quietly for King's signal. Théoden dropped his hand down and Haleth touched the end of the ropes with the torch. They instantly ignited and bunch of fireworks flew to the sky. Rohirrims never in their lives seen such a massive explosion.
At the sky danced colours from red to purple, blue and green. Together it formed a horse standing on it's hind legs with a spear that was pointing to it's stomach. Éomer and Háma jumped backward, "That's what I call super call for aid." laughed King Théoden.

After everything went back to normal

King Théoden along with King Ellesar from his right side and King Éomer from his left, cheered to their victory, "For the neverending friendship of Gondor and Rohan!" Théoden's voice powerfully echoed as he rised his golden goblet. "For the neverending friendship of Gondor and Rohan!" cried everyone in Meduseld and started celebrating the victory. Aragorn sipped his wine and placed the goblet on the table, "So...how it all started?" he chuckled and glanced at king of Rohan. Théoden coughed a bit, "It started when my guards came to me and told me that an army of around 18 000 men, men from Dunland, our old enemies, were preparing to attack us and at that time I had not enough soldiers to fight them. Their army were 4 days from us. I called a council. Éomer said that the best thing we could do is to ask you for help. Then Háma came to the room. I thought that he was there the whole time. I told him to tell Ceorl to inform you about the situation here."
"And I gave him letters that he had to deliver. One was meant for you." said Éomer bit nervously. Aragorn laughed, "Oh I understand now! That's why I get such an interesting letter." he smirked at Éomer who looked at him bit confused but little bit he knew what probably happend. King Ellesar leaned to him and whispered to his ear, "I think that she would be all over you if she get that letter. Such a beautiful and romantic words that could melt hearts of many women. If I were woman, I would definitelly fell in love with you, but sadly, I am man." he winked at him and leaned back into his seat.
Éomer turned bright red and looked at him with wide eyes, "Y-you...?" Aragorn chuckled and slightly nodded. Young King stood up, "E-excuse me for a while." he almost tripped over a table leg as he was leaving and heading outside.
Aragorn laughed when confused Théoden turned at him, "What did you tell him?" Aragorn gave him a sly smile, reaching for his gobled and taking a sip, "Don't worry my friend. Nothing that could harm him. Only that I recieved the letter that was meant for his secret love." Théoden looked at him with open mouth, "His secret love?!" he was shocked for a while and then started laughing out loud, "So all the letters got mixed?" asked Aragorn and took one berry of grapes. King Théoden nodded and whiped some tears, "Y-yes. Háma mixed them. He even had to give one to Erkenbrand in which I told him to bring our men from the western side, but as you might know now, that it didn't get to him. Everything seems lost because Ceorl left with letter and a chance that you will get the right one was one to three. Háma probably told him to give you one of them, but I see now that it wasn't the right one." said Théoden with a chuckle.
"And when we all thought that it was over and we would have to fight them alone, Haleth, son of Háma came and show us the best way to get your attention and letting you know that something isn't right."
Aragorn narrowed in his seat, "That was his idea?! Well that was really great! Whole city saw that and when my guards called me to look outside I immediately knew that it must be something urgentand. I called my men to arms. Even if you send the messenger, we would not be able to get to you before the attack and with that fireworks, we instantly knew that we must come to help."
A smile formed on Théoden's lips, "Well...at least his son doesn't overslept to work." two kings laughed together and clinked their goblets together, celebrating their victory till the end of the day.
