LIZ POV
I woke up with a start, my face was beaded with sweat. Nightmares. I got up and walked through my small, studio apartment to my...well...I called it a kitchen but it was more like some utensils, a minifridge and a microwave. I poured myself a cold cup of coffee and stared out of my small, dusty window. A small grey bird perched on my windowsill.
I don't really leave my apartment so the birds outside my window are kinda my only friends. I offered the little bird a sunflower seed. It hesitated, then snatched it up and flew away. 'tch. so much for a thank you', I thought to myself. I was walking to the couch when I heard scuffling. Someone was trying to break in.
Jocelyn POV
I finally arrived at apartment 159 and hopped off my scooter. The entire perimeter of the property was littered with security cameras. The front door was still locked from the previous night. I snuck over to a camera blind spot a lifted a small potted plant off the ground, revealing a silver house key. "score." I muttered to myself.
The key fit into the front door perfectly and I snuck inside. I got to a short hallway and stopped. She was awake. I could hear her shuffling around and muttering quietly to herself. I tried to keep my breathing down and recap on all the information I had on her. I could almost see her file perfectly

and so on. This was my first assignment since I completed my training; bring in Liz dead or alive, do what you need, and don't make a mess. This wasn't gonna be easy...
LIZ POV
After I heard the intruder break in, I immediately marched over to my "miscellaneous" drawer and found what I was looking for; a small pink taser with red duck tape stuck over the bottom. Easy and effective. If the intruder was someone important, the taser made them easy to detain and interrogate. If not, the person could be easily transported to a park bench or some other inconspicuous napping place.
Taser in hand, I creeped closer to the source of the noise, backing up against a wall. I took a quick glance around the corner. I could faintly make out the outline of someone lurking in the hallway. They were so small? Was it a child? No. It couldn't be. How did they get in? Alright, enough games. I swiftly turned the corner and was face to face with a little girl with short golden hair and a devious smile.
Jocelyn POV
Liz finally got suspicious and grabbed something out of a drawer by her microwave but I couldn't tell what it was. She must have found out where I was, because she put herself out of my view by backing up against a wall. If that was the case, why wasn't she attacking? As if reading my thoughts she turned the corner and faced me. I smiled and tried to seem intimidating. I'm guessing it didn't work because she simply laughed and pulled something out of her pocket. All I managed to say at that point was "oh shit-" before she tased me.
