She wiped up the blood from her cheek and picked up the sword.
His eyes followed her blade as she pressed it against his neck.
"don't. move." He calmly told her.
Little did she know, they were surrounded. Men armored with bows, swords, Axes, and a surprise were waiting for one eensie little signal from me and they would blow this place to fragments. We also had something she didn't...a certain special power that will relay that eensie little signal from me to them without me even having to utter a word...
This girl has more gut and grit than I thought she did, I'll give her that. She has fought me every single chance she's had, and she's ultimately failed every single time; yet, she keeps persisting. As far as I know, she's a Regular, unlike me. She's from Salin, a poverty stricken village that no one goes near because of the history.
That's where our first battle began between the Regulars and the Specials. It's said that the Regular Randolf O'berg and the Special Min Holland fell from the darkened skies in the center of Salin. They fought and fought until the light of dawn when finally, Holland stabbed O'berg but O'berg threw his dagger at the same time, hitting Holland. Both of them were said to have died that morning. No one really knows who actually won between the two. The answer died along with them. Ever since then, the lands have still been divided and if you were caught to be a Special, you were immediately sentenced to death.
People in Salin have reported to hear the sound of male voices whenever the sun sets and it's dark out. They're called the Ghosts of the Great Battle. You see, Specials each have different abilities that can be used with the elements. In order to properly develop our abilities, we train at a unique school that Min Holland created as a safe place for us Specials since everyone was trying to kill us. We disguised it as an elite warrior training academy so attending it wouldn't seem suspicious. The tests you take when you first go to enter will determine if you are a Special or a Regular. If it's determined you're a Regular, your application gets denied, obviously in secret - we can't have people knowing our school is only for Specials now can we?
I've been here the longest out of everyone, including the staff and the current director. I've been given free range pretty much of the soldiers I have and what I do with them, so long as I keep our secret. This time, I was tasked with getting rid of the Regulars' pitiful princess daughter - Eva.
Now, she's always seemed all glitz and glam however she's definitely trained hard in many forms of combat. She's definitely experienced but in order to keep her 'princess' image, her parents made her stop. She was petite yet a twinkling ferocity was held in her deep emerald eyes. Recently, she's been rebelling from her parents and been accompanying the Regular patrol on combat activities.
One day, the board of masters called upon me and gave me the task to get rid of princess Eva. The Regulars had made a declaration, once again, that Specials were unwelcomed in Salin and they were doing raids within the village, hanging anyone for anything that could be even remotely related to a Special - and at the head of their forces was Princess Eva. The Princess Eva we all thought was sweet and KindHearted... ha, right. She had overthrown her parents and officially started her rebellion. With that, I took the mission and gathered my troops to depart that night.
We first had to track down Princess Eva. It wasnt a tough task but she kept on the move constantly. How was she not tired? I never would have thought she would have as much stamina as she did.
