Under the palm tree's shade, you close your eyes and prepare for a nice, long nap on the nice, comfortable chair given to you by your nice Aunt Shirley. The person you pay to bring you whatever you want whenever you want brings you the smoothie of your choice from the place of your choice.
"Let me drink," you tell him, indicating that you want him to put the straw in your mouth so you don't have to move.
"No way," he says. "It's my break time."
You reach into your bag and pull out a 20-dollar bill. He takes it and starts feeding you the drink for two seconds before you shoo him away.
"I want time to myself," you tell him. He sighs and walks away.
Suddenly, a dark shade spreads on the beach, alarming you and anyone else who noticed it. You sit up, pull off your sunglasses, and squint your eyes to get a better look at whatever happened.
A ship. A huge ship that looks like something from a pirate movie rolls onto the beach, causing people to leave the beach right away. And then an octopus. A huge, purple octopus appears out of the water and swats the ship, quickly taking it down. It swats quickly at the beach, creating a huge sandstorm that ends as soon as it begins.
And you, as an effect of needing more sleep, miss all of it.

Short StorySmall short story I wrote for English in seventh grade. Random and pointless, but I thought, why not? Enjoy!
