chapter 1

tori's POV:
I'm sitting on my bed watching FRIENDS on my laptop on new year's eve bored out of my mind

"TORI" my mom yells "what does she want I say to my self annoyed because i just got to a good part in the episode "GET DRESSED AND DRESS NICE" she yells.

ok we must be going to a party or something because my family never gets dressed up for anything like at all.

I walked into my closet and i quickly ran to get my phone so i could check the weather. 44 degrees. So i decided to wear a dark green turtleneck and some black jeans and some brown boots and wear my hair half up half down.

I walked over to my vanity and did my makeup. I did a natural look and I actually looked really cute. My phone buzzed and scared me. I looked to see who it was it was my best friend Carly.
carly-hey what are you doing for New Years??
Tori-going to a dumb get together with my mom's friends or something like that
carly-oh i was going to ask if you wanted to come with me to a party that sean is throwing for the sophomores and juniors
tori-wish i could go :(

My brother Trynton comes busting through my door scaring me. " come tori let's go" he says
"you scared the living shit out of me" i said rolling my eyes. He stood there with his mouth wide open. " What" i said with a disgusted look on my face "you said a bad word" "so what" i said as i grabbed my phone and put in in my back pocket.

My mom and dad piled into the car along with my three brothers Trynton and Tristen and Trey.

Trynton is 6 Tristen is 17 and Trey is 8

The house was about 10 minutes away from where we lived.

We got out of the car and walked into the house there were these adults sitting around this table playing cards and drinking I could tell what kind of alcohol it was.

This girl around my age (16) came downstairs and we started talking. " My name is Cami and what is yours" she said " I'm Tori" " ok let's go upstairs cause i cannot stay down here and listen to my parents talk it bores me. I laughed.

My brothers passed us on the stairs and ran into some room where a bunch of boys were. " who's room is that" I asked her pointing at the door at the very end of the hallway "oh that is my brother's room his name is jake"

We walked into his room and all of the boys looked up and me and this one boy made eye contact for a minute then the yells from Trey scared me and I immediately looked down at my shoes.

"That's Jake" Cami said and she pointed to the same boy that I had locked eyes with. He was tall and had dark brown hair and green eyes and he was wearing basketball shorts and a Texas state shirt. HOT.

"come on" cami said she grabbed my arm and and pulled me towards the door. We walked down the hall to her room.
~4 hours later ~
it's 3:00 a.m. and we are still at their house and cami seems so cool. We had already exchanged numbers. " do you want to watch a movie" cami asked me " yeah let's go" i said
"Tori" my mom said coming into the room we were in "yeah" i said "we are leaving let's go" "ok" i said getting up "wait can she spend the night" cami asked "i mean yeah if it's ok with your parents" i already asked "well yeah i don't care" my mom said. "MOM" tristen yells as he comes running into the room we were in "yes" my mom said "jake wants to know if i can spend the night" "yeah that's fine" "bye mom" i said giving her a kiss on the cheek "bye don't do anything i wouldn't want you to do" she said
