— when hanna met james, she thought it was only an illusion. illusion made up by mind of exhausted governmental employee, who spends way too much time cut off from any kind of social contact.
james thought exactly the same, but with one significant difference.
unlike hanna, he wasn't actually quite alive.

— author's note: hi! after this long hiatus, i am back (no idea for how long, but i'm sure imma be here for some weeks, maybe even months) and i decided to re-write this story. 'cause honestly? the story idea isn't that bad, plus i had strange need to write something (so why not butcher the only thing i have ever been proud of on this app lmao)
i'll be very grateful for any kind of feedback and hopefully, you'll like the re-written version :)
