As Akari was walking through a dark and eerie alley of 1910 Japan, she could make out the figure of a woman approaching. As she came closer, Akari's blood turned cold. The woman was wearing a surgical mask, holding a pair of scissors.
She was Kuchisake onna.
There was nowhere to run now.
"Am I pretty?" The woman asked in a shrill voice that could make your ears go numb.
Before Akari could answer, the woman pulled off her mask, revealing the bloody slit that ran across her mouth.
"Am I pretty now?" She screamed.
Time was running out, but Akari knew what to do.
"You look average," she said as the woman seemed momentarily confused.
It was at that moment that Akari turned back, and ran as fast as she could.
Sadly, she was wearing heels. She stumbled and fell on the cold ground as a blood curdling scream filled the air.
Akari started running again, the screams getting louder with each passing second, until at last, they stopped. She turned back.
Nothing.
She turned around...only to encounter that bloody grin. The last things she felt were the cold scissors carving out a similar grin on her face.
