A Strange Place

I just woke up in a morning sunrise. My head really hurts. I tried to open my eyes and look up even its hard,  afterwards I came to realize I was on a different place. I'm in the woods, but I can hear seashores not so far all around. I knew I was on an island!

Later, I noticed a giant lion-face (I think its..) sculpted in the side of a cliff of a high ground just in the island. It was big and marvelous, yet scary. Even if its only a rock it looks alive from afar. It has large fierceful eyes that looks like it could burst into flames at any time. It has large, sharp teeth, and magnificent design around his head. It was unbelievable, and I am overwhelmed at the moment.

Then suddenly I noticed a boy from not too far from me. He's unconsciously lying in the ground, and its obvious that he went like me too: gone to a place where we don't know (well I thought its heaven). I quickly went to the boy to look at him closer. I think he's just less younger than me. I woke him up (of course I care too). I tap his arm and shake him. "Bro, wake up. You gotta wake up." The boy then woke up out of his consciousness. Like me, he also woke up confused where he was. He looks frightened. I couldn't tell him anything that can take his fear off, because I know I can't do nothing too. "Kuya, is this heaven?" he asked me. "Well, I think it is. You don't have to be afraid." I replied. But actually, I'm not sure if that place is really heaven. I know heaven has many people, probably came from Earth then just died, and also lots of angels. But we can't see anyone here. Its only the two of us (and also the lion face if it was alive).

We sat both on the ground, looking around, still overwhelmed at the place, not knowing what to do. "Oh hey, what if we try to look around." I got an idea. "Okay." The boy answered. We went down to look at the seashore. It was unbelievable. I can't see any land or island even from afar. Even there is only little clouds covering the horizon I can't see a single mounting land. It is an open sea! "Hey kid, let's look on the other side." I ask the boy who is still mesmerized at the view. "Oh, okay." He answered me. I went to the other side of the island hoping to see a difference. But, when we reached the place its still the same. We are alone at the center of the sea, or maybe an ocean! "Where are we? Hope this is heaven." I told myself. We still went around the island but the sea is still the same. It is empty of land. We only see sea from where we are until what our eyes can reach. The only place we couldn't go is the seashore behind the cliff. The side of the cliff is too steepy and too rocky that it is dangerous to go. I just think maybe that side is different and maybe that was the side of the island facing any land form. But maybe that too is still the same. I started to be scared. I'm thinking about this island at the center of the ocean can be so dangerous and prone to tsunamis or storm surge! (thank God we have Science in our subjects) The island is big actually, the land is elevated than the shore. But this is still small when we're talking about calamities.

I don't know if I'm gonna be scared or what. I just wish good luck at the both of us at staying in this place until we can find answers why we're here, how we've gone here, what we are doing here, and how we can get out of this place.
