It was a dark and stormy night when my sister and her friends decided to go to a party on an island. I told my sister that it was a bad idea to go on a boat, to an isolated island during this storm. But they didn't care. I know they were going to regret this decision.
"Come one, Shadow, were going to be late for the ferry ride. I don't want to miss it because you're being slow." My sister, Scarlet, said as she was dragging me along with her stuff
"Yeah yeah, you know I don't want to go so why are you dragging me along?" I said carrying the bag that I packed myself.
"One word, socialize."
"That wasn't one word, that was three" She looked at me.
"You know what I mean," She said and I sighed and grumbled. I looked and saw her dear friends. I smirked thinking of what I could do when we arrived.
"Hey Scarlet! Hey Shadow!" One of my sister's friends, Pearl said to us.
"Hi, Pearl!" Scarlet said hi with enthusiasm in her voice.
"Hi," I said sounding bored. Pearl heard the boredom in my voice and said, "Don't sound too excited Shadow." to which I responded with, "Haha, very funny Pearl. You know I hate people."
"And yet you're friends with us so how does that work?"
"My sister," I said before Scarlet dropped my arm and her stuff knowing I would carry it. She shook her head and headed on the ferry with Pearl and her other friends. I sighed and took our bags to our room.
Once I entered our room, I put her bag on her bed which was closer to the door. She came in a while later and we washed up and went to sleep.
When we woke up in the morning we were close to arriving at the island. Scarlet got up and changed before leaving me in our room. I looked in my bag and saw the blade I carried with me. "Maybe this trip won't be that bad after all," I said to myself before there was a knock on the door, I closed my bag immediately. I walked to the door and opened it to be greeted by Pearl. "Yeah?" I asked. "Come on, we are leaving. Get Scarlet's stuff for her seeing as she was being dumb and forgot it." She said before leaving. I sighed and went to the bathroom and changed before getting my bag along with Scarlet's.
I walked through the halls and I felt like someone was watching me. I ignored the feeling and continued to walk through the halls to my sister and her friends. "Hey, Shadow," Lyla said. "Hi," I said with a wave. Then we all went to the dock. Once we were there, Scarlet pointed out where we were going to be staying, then I saw a big house up the hill. But then realized we had to go through the wood to get there.
"Great," I said "we have to walk all the way there, and it's raining," I said while pointing at the house
I then turned around and noticed two boys coming our way. I moved closer to my sister and whispered, "You never told me boys were invited." She looked at me before rolling her eyes. "You never hung out with people before until you met my friends so don't say anything." She said. I sighed before asking if we could just head to the house.
"No, we are going to socialize," Lyla said.
Before the boys got close to us, everyone fixed their hair, and I was like 'what's going on'
"Hi," said the tall, long-haired boy
Everyone said hi, and shook his hand, except me. "What's your name?" he asked. "S-shadow" he then tried to shake my hand, but I ignored it. "I'm Alex" he said with a smile. "I'm Jacob" said the other boy, he didn't bother to shake my hand.
I ignored Jacob and continued to mentally wish we were going to head to the house now, and abandon these two idiots. Thankfully Pearl said "We should head to the house now so we don't freeze out here in the rain." Which we all agreed to.
Then we started out long way up the hill
~One hour later~
Everyone arrived at the front door,catching their breath. I was left behind alone in the dark woods.I looked around and saw that the woods were rather thick. I got a few ideas and then decided to head to the house before the others became worried.
Once I arrived, Scarlet asked why I was behind and I replied that I was tired from walking for an hour. She nods her head then faced the others. Everyone was surprised to hear music playing and the lights on. "I thought we were going to be alone this weekend." Said Lydia. "Yeah, that's what they told me," said Alex before unlocking the door.
We entered the house, but no one was home. "Is anyone home?" Called out Jacob. Out of nowhere, another boy came out. "Welcome home" said the boy. Everyone looked surprised except me. "Wait, you told me you weren't coming." said Alex. Jacob agreed. Once again, I whispered to my sister, "Who is he?" I said confused. "He's the most popular boy at school," she replied. "Please try to socialize on this trip." I didn't say anything.
I rolled my eyes seeing everyone talking to that boy, then continued to walk up to the room Scarlet and I would be staying in.
