I dug through the attic of the old house. It really was ridiculous that the old owners couldn't clear it out themselves. Suddenly, there was a chill down my spine, and I felt an invisible force pulling me into the corner of the attic. There sat an old ring, with a silver chain.
"Wow..." I whispered, slipping it, around my neck. I walked down the stairs, looking into the bathroom mirror. I stared at the ring on my chest, the chain miraculously clean. I tugged at my messy bun, letting my hair fall. It was weird, lighter and a bit frizzier than usual. Maybe it was dry. My friend texted. That's strange. I remember it being 11, but it was almost noon.

"What's that?," Jessie asked, pointing at my necklace.
"I found it in my attic"
"And you don't find that even a little bit creepy? Like you find this random necklace in your attic and you're just wearing it?" She raised an eyebrow, obviously suspicious.
"It's just a necklace, Jess, calm down," I chuckled, rolling my eyes. Jessie made a face and glanced at her coffee.

I brushed out my hair, getting ready for bed. It was knotted, and an awkward light brown. It looked very dried out. My phone buzzed. My husband, I thought, suddenly angry. I shook my head and blinked hard. I'm single and I live alone. My teeth began grinding, something I only did when I was ready to kill. But I barely knew him, and his wife just... died.
Shoot. He looked over at me, suddenly pale... like he had seen ghost. I think i understand now.. but the necklace is taking over. I cant write much more... im sorry
