the experiment part 3: Andrew

"Bro stop pausing you're freaking me out." Gavin said.
The light came in the window. It shown on his hair makeing it look more vibrant than normal I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his eyes were at the moment why am I getting so distracted I can't stop I have to think about the real problem here, not him, I can't, I don't know why.
"Bro!" Gavin yelled. "Please continue." He said.
I looked at him, can't believe I'm about to tell him, will he think I'm crazy, or will he believe me?
"I told my dad that it would be cool if there were lizard people, at the time I was eight so it sounded like a pretty cool idea. But then he told me, what if, what if there were lizard soldiers?" I said.
He looked me up and down. Does he think I'm crazy now. There's a brief moment of silence, I couldn't help but stare at him the whole time. Then he finally said,
"are you serious or are you just messing with me?" He looked at me.
I replied, "you know what it does sound stupid maybe I'm just overreacting."
Suddenly we heard an announcement come over the speakers.
"Attention boys and girls there is an intruder in the building, we are having a lockdown. Please go to the nearest classroom immediately and remain silent and still. This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill."
We looked at each other and panicked what are we going to do? We ran into the hallways trying to open every door but they are already locked. We ran back into the bathroom and locked ourselves in a stall. We stood on top of the toilet so no one could see our feet. He was right next to me I could smell him. He smelt like beautiful spring day. We were so close together, I couldn't help but think about him, all of my thoughts revolved around him, but why not the scary lizard monster man thing outside, why not that?
Thump...
"What was that?" Gavin whispered.
Thump...
I jumped. And without thinking, leaned in closer to Gavin and grabbed his shirt. He looked at me, I could tell he was scared, I was too. I looked at him for a brief moment, and then he looked at me, we met eyes and I looked away quickly, trying to be quiet,but I guess my heart didn't get the message. My heart was beating so loud it felt like it was coming out of my ears.

It's been a few minutes, the silence making it feel like an eternity. I'm still holding on tight to Gavin. I'm too scared to let go.
Thump...
We heard it again and I just kept holding on to him. I didn't mean to, but I did. the noises were coming closer and closer to the bathroom. At this point I was basically a part of him. His golden brown hair brushing is my face. It was a couple minutes and we didn't hear any more noises we started loosening our grip of each other, and we looked into each other's eyes. His eyes were more blue than normal, I never noticed that they were that colour blue before. I looked closely into its face and I noticed small little details that I've ever seen before.
They say a near-death experience is supposed to bring people closer together, is that what's happening? Am I.. no.. I can't be.. but what if. What if I am? What if I'm falling in love with my best friend?
