I stand in my office admiring the view outside the window. The long and tall skyscrapers of New York , the blue skies with frequent white clouds and the enormous Statue of Liberty facing me . It's a view that I will never get tired of . It's a view that calms me down whenever I am stressed. It's a view that gives me ideas and thoughts to lead this company to success
My thoughts are interrupted with a small knock on my door.
"Come in " i say with my eyes still admiring the view.

"Hi Tiffany , how are you my darling? How is work?" my dad asks .
"Hi Dad , it's nice to see you here today . Work is well and fine . I was just working on our deal with Regency Publishing Co.".I answer him.
"That's great Honey . Umm.. why don't you sit down. I need to talk to you about something."He says , a little bit tensed.
"What is it Dad?Is everything fine ? Are you alright?"I asks alarmingly.
"Oh honey I am as healthy as a horse . I just wanted to talk to you about the fate of our company"
"Dad please don't talk to me as if you are riddle master trying to make me figure out what you mean. Just come straight to the point . I am starting to worry." I say nervously.
"OK. I have decided that from the next week you will be taking over Richardson Enterprises & Co." my dad announces .
What??
"But Dad don't you think its to early for this?" I question him shockingly
"Sweety , you see i am turning 65 in a month and trust me I am not turning any younger . I think it is the right time for you to take my place as the company's head."
"But I don't thing I am ready for this huge responsibility"
"I know you child . You are the smartest and the most responsible person I know . Hence you are perfect for this . I don't think your brother is interested in this business . So you are the only one who can carry this company forward." He says
" Umm.. if you think I can do it I will try my best to not let you down dad."
"Thank you my princess . I am so happy . I wish you all the luck for this new chapter of your life . " He says embracing me into a tight hug. "If Mommy would have been here she would have been so proud to see her little girl grow up into this wonderful young lady. I wish she was here."he says sadly
"Me too Dad . Me too" . I whisper as a tear falls down my eyes.
"Hey don't be sad honey plus it's the time celebrate you. Finish up your work then we will go out for dinner .
Me , you and Robert."
"Ok Dad. I'll see you soon ."
With that he exits my office , leaving me alone. I slump on my chair , trying to absorb what just happened
Well*sigh* next week is going to be fucking interesting.....
