"What do you mean you're going to her house tonight? All night?" Jungkook asked, seemingly upset by my plans. "It's your birthday. We always spend your birthday together."

"I'm going to be with you all day. I'm not going to her house until dinnertime," I explained.

"I knew when you started dating her it was going to change everything," he yelled at me, walking out of the room in a huff. I stood there stunned, looking around the room at the other guys present.

"Did that make sense to any of you? Has anything changed?" I asked, looking at each of them.

Jimin shook his head, "I mean, you talk about her a little, not very much though. That's all I've noticed."

Jin and Hobi both shrugged their shoulders, too involved in the K-drama they were watching to actually even know what was going on. I turned to follow Jungkook.

Standing in the doorway of his room, I crossed my arms and asked, "What's going on, Kook? Why are you so upset about this?"

He fiddled with his recording equipment, not even looking at me. "I just don't feel good about you dating her. What if she only wants to be with you for your money? Or because you're famous?"

I shook my head at him, "I'm pretty sure that's not the case. She didn't come after me; she's not a sasaeng. A mutual friend, someone I trust, introduced us. I was the one that contacted her, not the other way around."

"Still, you're the first one with a girlfriend and I don't want everything to change. You'll spend all your time with her, instead of with us," he whined.

"I don't understand why you think that. So far I only see her once a week. Are you telling me you can't bear to be away from me even once a week?" I smiled at him. "Come on, Jungkook. Be fair."

"I kind of thought no one would start dating until we disbanded, way off in the future," he said, looking at the floor. Shaking his head, he asked, "What could you even like about her? You haven't known her that long."

I went into his room, squatting down to help him repack his camera bag. "I like being around her. I like the way she makes me feel. I'm happy when I'm with her. I'm relaxed when I'm with her. Even though she refuses to be my girlfriend, she still looks at me like I'm the only one she sees." Then I laughed at him, "Besides how long are you going to make Jin wait for a girl? He's already as old as dirt."

"Hey," Jin yelled from the living room, "I heard that!"

Jungkook laughed, going over to sit on the bed, "What the hell? Does he suddenly have super hearing?

"Yes, I do!" we heard from the living room.

Still laughing, Jungkook finally relented. "If you're telling me things aren't going to change, I'll believe you. I just don't want our friendship to suffer over a girl."

"She's never going to take your place, Jungkook. I promise. She has her own place in my life." I walked over and sat down next to him. "We good?"

Shrugging, he nodded.

"Maybe you'll feel better about her after you meet her. What do you think? Should I bring her around sometime?"

Both Jin and Hobi appeared in the doorway. "Yes, you should!" said Hobi, giving me a thumbs up.

"I think you should bring her over sometime soon," advised Jin. "I think we'd all like to meet her."

"Ok, I'll set it up. Happy now, Kook?" I asked, nudging his shoulder.

But he didn't look any happier. "Yeah, well, whatever."

The door swung open and Aayu smiled as she opened the screen door, tipping her head up for a kiss. I chuckled in my head; for not wanting to be anyone's girlfriend, she sure had settled into that role nicely. I took off my shoes and tossed my coat onto a chair. I wrapped my arms around her to warm up; it was freezing outside.
