Following WWII, the humans all started blaming the nations for the worst wars in history, and as such the nations were discriminated against.
England, along with all the other magic wielding nations, cast a powerful, world-wide memory-erasing spell, erasing all trace of their existance all over the world, including historical documents, scriptures and text.
Their existance is only revealed to their bosses, the people who work in their houses and whoever they deem trustworty enough to tell, all of whom take an oath to never reveal their existance for fear of horrible consequences.
