06. Flashbacks

"I did not!" He yelled.
"In the stories of Norse mythology, you clearly fucked a horse!" I tell him
"You mortals with your idiotic beliefs! I do not have children!"
"You sure, it said you have birth to a 8 legged horse named, Slepnir,"
"I did not give birth to Odin's horse! Never!" He says.
"Uhuh, so anything else that I don't know, you should talk about yourself with the newbie of the team," I say.
He looks at me, with regret on his face and regret on myself; that I shouldn't have ask that question.
"You don't have to tell me if you're uncomfortable," I tell him.
"Thank you I'll tell you another day," he says.

The three of us left the training facility back to the main room off the Avengers compound.
Sitting in the couch, I slowly fall to sleep.

"Get the hard drive and kill him female! No time wasted we need that information to stop SHIELD!" I hear Them say through the mic.
"Yes sir," I respond.
-BANG-
"Good job, girl. You succeeded and we have another mission for you. You're going with the winter soldier. Now you both are going to play the big part.
You, him, the rest of HYDRA and I are going to take down SHIELD," Pierce tells us.
"Hail HYDRA," he added.
"Hail HYDRA," I respond to him.

The helicarrier started blowing up, as fighting with agents from shield I got their Top assassin; Natasha Romanoff.
"HYDRA will fall," she says. "SHIELD has fallen, HYDRA will follow soon enough, After all of this is over. They won part of their mission," I say as I kick her balance off and plant my foot on her chest.
"You as well will fall as you are part of HYDRA," she says.
"I've fallen long ago when I was captured and tested on," I tell her. I loose my balance as one of the engines of the helicarrier exploded. I quickly get my balance and run out to look for winter.
"You're my mission," winter says.
"Then finish it because I'm with you till the end of the line" the man who winter was fighting had said.
And finally the helicarrier started falling as the man who was part winter's mission fell to the body of water.
"We have to go!" I tell him.
"You go with out me I'll soon follow!"
"They'll find you ... they always do.. you know we can't escape!" I yelled.
" I can always try," he tells me as he jumps to save the man who fallen.

I look as later I follow but swim into a different direction. ' I hope you get you're freedom, maybe I can as well,'
I look around as the coast is clear.
I started running towards the forest part of the park, but failed to go any further I was caught.
"You think I'll let you get away huh Echo," a male voice asks me as he grabs my arm and pins it behind my back.
I struggled turn around and see Rumlow who I know will soon be part of the secret HYDRA.
"My only chance to leave the hell hole I've been stuck for decades!" I elbowed his face with my free arm adding a punch as he let go. I ran, but before I ran as far I was caught again as an electric net landed on my body.

"NO LEAVE ME ALONE LET ME GO! I HAD ENOUGH!!"
"You try to leave again like your punishments never helped you learn your lesson but I won't give you a punishment for leaving... if you give me the location where The winter soldier had left," one of the HYDRA members tells me.
"Even if I knew I wouldn't tell you!"
He snaps his fingers as a go to torture me.
"Tell me girl!"
I stay quite as he continues to torture me until my body gave up into darkness..

"Darl, wake up!"
"I WONT SAY!" I yelled awake sweating from my ptsd dream as the team looks at me in worry.
Still gasping for air holding onto my chest, tears rolling down my face.
"Hey, hey it's okay, we're here. You're safe," I hear Bucky tell me as he sits next to me.
"Hydra is no more Darl, you're fine with us alright," Tony sits the other side of me and cradles me.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Bucky asks.
"It's about your last mission and what happened to me afterwards,"
"Last mission as in us trying to shut down SHIELD? What happened after?"
"Yes and, I was tortured until I spilled where you had run off to," I tell him.
"They tortured you because of me?" He looks at me in guilt.
"Don't start that with yourself, I did it as a friend and I'll do the same to all of you. And I know you would've done the same if I was the one who left and you got caught," I tell Bucky.
"You're right, but now you're here in a great place with people who adore you," he says as he headlocks me and messes up my hair.
"I remember my first encounter with Natasha," I lowly said and looked up meeting Nat's eyes.
"So that's why you looked so familiar, 'I've fallen long ago when I was captured and tested on,' that's what you said to me before you left," Nat tells me.
"I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused," I apologized. "It's not your fault you were brainwashed and manipulated so there's nothing to apologize," Nat tells me as she place a hand on my shoulder.
"Now look at you with a remarkable team and amazing family. We care about you and treat you as our own don't forget it," Bucky commented.
"Thanks Buck," I smiled at him.
I got up and headed to my room to have my time alone.
Thinking of how much this month went by. I was saved, I later joined the Avengers hours later, then we defeated Ultron, training with the team, Wanda and I gotten close, learn to control more of my powers and learn more to use a sword. Met remarkable people..
'Echo...'
"What name should we give this female?"
"Why would this worthless female need a name? Female should be good for her because SHE'S A FEMALE!"
"Sir, we do have other females here as well being tested on, but she's our main priority."
"Name her however you want her to be name I don't care,"
They turn around to my lifeless body. Tired of many mission I had done that one week. Many deaths of others and injuries to myself.. also adding the punishment of what I should've and shouldn't done.
"Female, you will now be called Echo, so I'm certain mission they'll call you by that name instead. You understand!"
I tried to agree but I couldn't speak. My voice is so soar I can't speak.
"Do you understand Echo! I need to hear you loud and clear!"
"Ye-YES S-SIR," I coughed out.
You'll do amazing these next few years... maybe you'll stay young forever and you'll be an excellent achievement to HYDRA,"

Happy New Years! (Eve) I wish you all an amazing year! May the roaring 20's start off!! I appreciate those who've add and read my book! It means a lot, and I'll be updating again until the middle of February! I'm sorry but I'm doing things at the moment. Maybe I'll post one more before going AWOL for a while.
