CHAPTER 3

I was surrounded by darkness. I felt the side of the wall next to the door frame and I felt an out line of a square. I felt a switch, I clicked it and I was startled. The light was bright, I squinted then slowly the light dimmed. I could hardly see, but the dim light was enough to see where I was. It looked like a science lab, like a study room. At first I was disappointed but then I was intrigued. I started to walk round the room. It was very dusty, and looked very very old. There was a cabinet in the corner. A few tables layed out with some stools. Nothing much, to me it looked like a classroom. Suddenly I heard it again, where is it coming from I wonderd. I thought the humming was coming from in here, and it kind of does. I realized that it was coming from the cabinet. It was tall and looked sturdy, like the lockers back in my school, but this one was sylver and tall and dusty. I slowly walked towards the cabinet, when I reached the cabinet the humming was still their but was more faint, it had an echo to the hum I opened the cabinet door and… empty. But the humming still continued, then I realized there was another door next to the cabinet. I took my hand and opend the door. I stepped in then the door behind me slammed shut. It made me jump, I tried to open the door but it was locked, it just would not budge. I started to pound and kick the door whilst screaming for help, but I stopped. No one is in the house, I was alone. Then suddenly I heard a distant voice, very faint. It said:

“come forward, you can not go back, come, come”

It sounded like a little girl. The girl started to chant, I tried to see if I could see her but it was to dark. But she kept on chanting,

“come, come, coommee forward”

Over and over.

What do I do I said to myself, I took a deep breath and took my first step…
