Chapter 5: Blessed Memories

It was late at night, Marcus laid in his bed as he texted Blu on his phone as she then

texted back to him,

"Hiya Marcus," the text said with a smiley face at the end.

Marcus smiled as he opened up his gallery on his phone as he started to look back at

an old photo of him and Blu back in Highschool.

2 years ago...

It was bright sunny afternoon as classes had ended and students roamed the halls

talking with one another.

Marcus stepped out of his class and sighs to himself,

"Wow another boring day of class man I can't wait to go home," Marcus said as John

comes up behind him and pats his back.

"Hey buddy if you stand there in the middle of the hallway like that someone is gonna

run you over," John said laughing.

"Oh right my bad John," Marcus said as he laughed a bit.

"Oh and by the way can I borrow your notes to copy down, I missed most of the lecture

and I know we got those exams coming up, so please can I copy your notes," John

asked.

Marcus looks at John and sighs, "Well maybe if you did keep falling asleep in class

John you might be able to take some decent notes."

"Oh come on please man your starting to sound like Xian Mei and Ripley, they're always

telling me that," John said.

"Well maybe because they sit next to you and you snore very loud," Marcus said.

"Hey it's not my fault I snore you can't blame me for that," John said.

"Yeah I know," Marcus said.

"So can I borrow your notes then buddy pretty please," John begged.

Marcus sighs a bit, "Alright fine but you need to start taking your notes on your own from

now on," as he reaches into his backpack.

"Yeah I promise buddy," John said.

Across the hall Blu was standing in front of her locker as she was looking at her test

scores as she was feeling proud of herself for getting such good grades, she smiles as

she puts her papers in her locker and takes out her study books as someone comes up

behind her placing their hand on her shoulder.

"Well, well if it isn't little miss bookworm," Derrick said laughing a bit.

Blu sighs knowing who it was as she turns around, "Oh hey Derrick, nice to see you."

"Well it's good to see you too, say why don't you come and hang out with me tonight at

my place it'll be fun," Derrick asked.

"Oh wow umm thanks for the offer Derrick, but umm I got a lot of work to do tonight so

I'm gonna have to pass," Blu said as she was about to put her book in her bag Derrick

snatches it away from her.

"Oh come on now Blu why don't you get your head out of the books already and hang

out with me it'll be a lot more fun than sitting on books," Derrick said.
