Suddenly, the prince slumps onto the marbled floor, body slamming with a thunderous racket.
A shocked silence ensues before the guard's brain processes what had happened.
"Jimin?! Jimin!" Yoongi's thunderous yells ring in Jimin's ears.
He can't answer anymore. His vision is flickering black and his body no longer wants him awake.
"President Kim! President Kim!"
Jungkook hadn't like how long the prince was taking in the kitchen. He also wasn't found of how the only thing he could hear was muted yelling and screaming.
He and President Kim had been in the middle of discussing what his father had informed him when they heard a loud thump and repeating yells.
The werewolf was the first one to see him on the ground. When he heaved him up from the floor, he felt that Prince Jimin's body was limper than a corpse.
It was as if an autopilot button had been switched on inside of him. He couldn't think as his eyes roamed over his half expose face or the frightened look in his guards eyes, but somehow through the chaos, he moved to cover the veil back onto Jimin's face.
Not a second later, Jungkook had picked up the unconscious boy and looked toward Mr. Kim, who was barking orders on the phone.
Jungkook flinches when the royal's chest rises and takes a moment too long to fall back down.
The doctors moved him to a large bed, saying how it was good for his circulation. They told Jungkook that the prince had fainted due to overwhelming stress and dehydration. He would wake up any minute, they said.
Jimin still hasn't woken up yet and no one really knows what happened except for Yoongi.
"He fainted."
That was what the hybrid uttered with an expressionless mask only the most rugged of Տєℓєиє warriors could perform. It was scary how everyone had so easily believed him.
Jungkook wasn't sure that was what happened.
He didn't say anything though. He felt that it wouldn't be right telling them about the royal's mental problem and how it affects him. Jungkook chose to preserve his privacy with his silence.
It has been exactly half an hour now since they barged into the kitchen.
Yoongi is suppose to come in two hours, but until then, the werewolf wouldn't leave Jimin's side.
Jungkook's eyes travel up to the gruesome discovery that the doctors and he had found and tightened his jaw from anger.
He has an idea where all those bruises had come from. There is going to be lots of questions, that's for sure.
He was so busy intensely staring at the other's dark neck, he didn't hear the croak that ripped out of the vampire's throat until he spoke more loudly.
"Jeon?"
The taller flickers his eyes at Jimin's disgruntled expression and surges forward to touch his hand. His delicate skin is colder than ice. Jungkook has an urge to bring them close to his mouth and blow on them as he does to his sister.
"Prince Jimin, how are you feeling?"
The disoriented boy blinks at him slowly, eyes widening when he realizes his cover was nowhere to be seen. "M-My veil."
Jimin stands up hastily, but stops his movements and clutches his forehead. Jungkook jumps up and lightly makes him lay down.
"Don't worry. No one saw you but me. I removed it after everyone had left so you could breathe more easily." He informs quietly, getting up to pace back and forth while the vampire regains his senses.
"Do you royal pledge on that?" Jimin asks seriously. His dull red eyes gaze at him cautiously.
The pacing man stops and cracks a beautiful half-smile. "I swear on my honor, prince Jimin."
Prince Jimin lets out a heavy puff and declines back onto his pillow. "Thank the stars. I've gotten in trouble enough already."
Jungkook nears the side of the bed and stares intently as the vampire's eyes flutter open and close. He seizes his chance to ask the intrusive question.
"Why would...? How could...?" He asks informally and makes a show of concern as he kneels in front of him.
He amazes Jimin when he takes his hand and glares dangerously at it. "Why would you let him hurt you?"
The bed-stricken man snatched his hand away with his ominous words. He sits stick-straight and gapes at the werewolf with wide eyes. "Wha-What did you say?"
Jungkook drags his storming orbs over to Jimin and stops at his neck. "Those bruises. I know enough of death to know those were made from trying to strangle you."
"I-"
"Don't lie to me. I know no one would dare to do such an obvious thing unless you were protecting them. It's Yoongi, is it not?" Jungkook accuses with a lethal tone that stops the other from coming up with excuses.
He bows his head and looks at his twirling hands in quiet. Jimin was never good at lying. No one ever cared too much of whether or not he was telling the truth.
After all, he was just a forgotten prince that was on death row.
"Why?" Jungkook barks, eyes blazing and body rigid. "Why do you let yourself be belittled and hurt?!"
The prince mumbles something so inaudible, Jungkook had trouble catching it with his super hearing.
"Huh?"
Jimin meets his with cloudy irises of overpowering sorrow.
"It's the only thing I've known." He gazes at the foot of his bed blankly.
"Yoongi only cares and loves me because it's the only thing he knows too. Together, at least we can both be a despicable mess." The royal laughs mockingly and glances up at Jungkook. His puffy under eyes are now dark and sagging from restless sleep and stress.
He looks so... hollow. Void of all of his naive, foolish happiness.
"It's pointless. I- I can't be without Yoongi."
They both look at each other, neither fully understanding or trying to figure out one another. But one thing is for certain: Jimin and Jungkook took another step onto a road that's foreign to both of them.
It magically clicks in Jungkook's mind that they are not just from different lands, but from completely different worlds.
"J-"
The throwing of the door cuts Jungkook off from his next words.
Yoongi's harsh breathing slows when he sees them on the bed. Nothing good was about to come based on the murderous look in his eyes.
"What the fuck?"
