All it takes is a second to fall,
Yet it seems to take forever to fix it all.
One second I'm above water floating,
But all it takes is a second to be sinking.
The sea that goes deep,
That drags be down under,
Through the sea of my emotions,
As my thoughts grow colder.
All it takes is a second to snap,
one second happy, then one second sad,
But mostly now I feel something bad.
I start feel anger grasp my foot.
Pulling me off that lilo as my happiness turns to dust.
I want it to go away,
But this weight is too heavy.
At the top is my happiness I can't seem to reach,
Every time I get near it I get pulled by a leech.
I fall back in,
I break. I cry.
It just won't stop!
I slice. I pry.
Hoping enough will let me float,
Oh what I'd give for a sturdy boat.
All it takes is a second to breathe,
How I wish I could just reach.
All it takes is a second to put on a crown,
But all it takes is a second to drown....
