Silence

No ones POV:

Over the next few days Damian had been quite, well, quitter than usual.
He didn't talk back or make snarky comments. He was just silent. The only thing he did was text on his phone, who he was texting, no one knew.

Patrols went on as usual besides how calm and quite Damian was.
Dick thought it was weird but when he went to Bruce about it all he said was that it was a phase and he would get over it.

As time went on Damian was spending less time with the batfam and more time on his phone. Jason would sometimes see him smiling at whatever text he got, but quickly put on a poker face when he noticed any one near.

Damian and Tim started to get into less and less fights, so it just became Tim picking on him and Damian walking away. Though Tim didn't mind that much, he was still not used to not having an argument with him every time they disagree on something. The only thing Tim wanted to know was who he was texting.

Bruce seemed to be losing his patience more and more often than he would like to admit. It seems as if every little thing Damian does gets on his nerves. He started getting on Damian for every little thing he did.

Damian's POV:

Me and father were on our way back from patrol. After listening to father yell at me about any and everything I had done wrong, we had a run in with Joker and his goons.

Father was fighting some of the Jokers men while I fought with the Joker and three other men. I managed to avoid the Joker while knocking one of the men over, but as soon as I did another one of the men tackled me to the ground. After getting the other men to hold me down the Joker walked over with what looked like a pipe.

I could hear father yelling at me to get up but I wasn't able to.
"I can't, I need help!"
I yelled hoping that father would come help me out but he never did.

"Please, help m-"
Was all I could get out before I felt the metal pipe collide with my stomach. He continued to hit me with the pipe while I struggled to catch my breath. Each time in a different spot.

Over

And

Over

And

Over

But I guess Joker got bored because after a few more hits he stopped.
He looked me up and down while thinking about something until he got an idea.
He bent down and grabbed my arm, I tried to pull it away but I didn't have much strength left.
All the Joker did was laugh, and then like it was nothing but a stick. He broke my arm.

The bone chilling snap could be heard though the ally.
My tears started to swell up as I tried to choke back my screams.

After a few more kicks and punches from Joker and his men, father finally came and fought them off. He looked as if he finished fighting ages ago but didn't decide to help till now.

After he fought them off he turned back to me.
"What were you thinking?!?"
I just stared at him in disbelief, not wanting to believe my FATHER was blaming me for not being able to fight back and and getting my arm broken by joker and his goonies.
Father turned to walk away while I tried to get up, not being able to, I just sat up against the nearest wall. Soon father came back with my phone and tossed it to me and walked away.
"Call Tim or Jason to come pick you up, while you're waiting you might wanna rethink your choices"

With those final words, he left. Leaving Damian to cry in pain and betrayal soon enough his consciousness started to slip away as he fell into a dreamless sleep.
