"in the past few months a research facility built to house project Ghost King has drawn the attentions of the justice league. there are no reports, no research logs, nothing. your job is to get in there and find out whats going on. try not to blow anything up this time. understood?" batman said.

"yes sir" the team replied, hoping that they would manage to follow all of the mission requirements. (they weren't very good at that last one).

"alright, here's the plan. wally Megan and robin will go in first and knock out the guards. Artemis, Superboy, and i will follow, rejoining you three when the guards are out and the security systems are hacked. got it?" aqualad asked. "alright, keep telepathic contact, team one go now."

as soon as robin began his hacking, he realised something was off. 'hey guys? 90% of the security devices lead to the same room. should we head there first, or wait for you?'

'wait for us. we don't have maps of the facility, so we won't know how to get to you if you go in immediately.' responded aqualad. 'is it time for us to move out?'

'not yet, there are still three guards in front of the door we need to take out.'

'take them out quickly, we have no wish to raise an alarm'

'there out aqualad.' Megan called.

'we are on our way' he responded.

'we're right behind you show us the way in. the room with all that security first.' Artemis thought. 'that's probably the most important part of the project'

'got it' robin replied ' when you enter its the first door on the right, takes up half the facility.'

'half the facility!' the team all said at once.

'yes, i said half. c'mon, lets get going. we don't have much time to waste.'

'fine.'

as they entered the room, the only thought that went through anyone's head was this is the last thing i expected looking at the weapons rack, the analysis machines and the color. the rooms white was so bright that none of them could see very well, especially aqualad, whose home environment was much darker. because of the color, it took them a while to notice the boy, lying on a hospital bed in the back of the room.

'hey look, there's a computer!'

'seriously, wally? there's an unconscious boy in the back and the first thing you comment on is a computer?'

'hey! the computer probably tells us what everything is, making it the priority!'

'have you missed the part where there is a living breathing person in the bed!'

'wally, Artemis, stop. robin hack the computer. wally, check out those analysis machines. megan make sure the boy is all right.'

'alright aqualad.' replied megan.

'oh my god' said robin.

'robin? whats wrong?' 

'this kid has powers, his DNA destroys itself, foods that would kill us or drug us heal him, he can use weapons we can't even hold without dying and one of the poisonous pomegranate seeds by his bed will give him enough nutrients to keep him in a state of suspended animation for 24 hours.'

'we have to bring this stuff to the justice league. get him to the bioship' aqualad said

'no! don't!'

'why not?'

'the child attracts lightning above 100 feet. we'll get shot out of the sky!'

'yeah... lets not do that.' wally stated. 'megan, can you see if one of the other rooms has a car?'

'i'll do it' artemis said. 'robin, how long until this kid needs fed? or will he wake up?'

'three minutes, or when megan wakes him. we should wait on waking him though.'

'alright. superboy, come with me.'

'fine'
